You said

You said

that you love me

but is that even true?

because I know i wasnt lieing

when I said I love you too

you said we'd be together

every day of our lives

but your a master at breaking hearts

now thats homicide

leading guys on with your words

and broken hearts in your wake

and I bought it for a little while

man, what a big mistake

now i lay in my bed

feeling like im dead

every day is filled with dread

because of what you said

now I'm laying broken

thinking of the things you have done

I saw you with that other man

and you decided to run

left a note on your door

saying I wasn't mad

I was willing to talk it out

i wanted to be with you that bad

I wish we'd never talked

I like the new guy better anyway

I knew this wasn't working

so goodbye and stay away

those words pierced my heart

like a bullet from a gun

but i guess that's what you wanted

I was defeated

you had won

I feel unworthy of affection

so I'm writing poetry in bed

I always feel so broken

because of what you said
