Half way in the term

It's now around half way into the first year. The time I spent at Hogwarts so far was enjoyable. I attended classes, did my homework, hung out with friends and visited Hagrid.

I also realized that I had come to like potions and I was good at it. It was easy for me and if you took out professor Snape's remarks, the class wasn't half bad. I was extremely good at most of my subjects according to my teachers. They just came easily to me. I would read something once and understand it almost instantly. I don't understand how that is but I just accepted it as a trait in me being a dragon and all that. Herbology was a bit more difficult than the other classes but still great overall. The subject I had to really work for was History of Magic and that's only because I can't focus on Professor Binns so I would usually just listen to the topics he does and do my research in depth in the library.

I had quite a bit of free time since I usually finish my work very fast. I gave it some thought and decided to work ahead. I am now almost always in the library during my free time. Because of all the extra time I work, I've already covered out the remaining first year syllabus in theory. I can't practice practical as often though since the unused classrooms I use are not too safe. I'll be caught and I don't want to explain myself. In the nights when everyone is asleep and I want to stretch my wings I go for a flight. No one found out about me as yet and I think that's good. I feel a bit bad keeping it from my friends though. I made quite a few more from all the houses but my best friends still remains as my roommates.

I know I'll have to come out to them sometime, and I hope when that time comes they will accept me. I hope I won't have to hide forever if they don't accept me.
