The day is over and its the first day of my detention. I'm sulking because while I did break the rule, I did not deserve an entire week of detentions especially since my records are clear. The twins agreed with me and offered their services to help me exact revenge, but I politely declined. Knowing them, they will still do it anyway so I might as well look out for any future "accidents".
I made it to the dungeons and a quick tempus told me that I had less than five minutes to reach professor Snape's classroom. Luckily I know where it is since I'm good at directions. Maybe it is due to my enhanced sense of direction but who knows, I shrugged.
I made it with two minutes to spare and knocked on the door. A gruff voice acknowledged my presence and gave me permission to enter. My task was to scrub cauldrons today, and boy was there a lot. I will never finish in an hour. It means I will have to do overtime.
I began scrubbing and after a while the silence became disturbing. I was accustomed to noise wherever I went. Be it the bustling of the persons below where I lived before Hogwarts, or the noise of the students in the common room, some amount of noise was always present.
The dungeons were eerily quiet though, not a single noise to be heard, and the cold just added to the environment. I took a glance at Professor Snape and he was busy doing something, my guess is that he was marking essays by the look on his face.
I continued working, until a few minutes later, Professor Snape said I could leave. I gladly got up and babied my sore hands all the way back to the common room. I bumped into the twins on my way there and they lead me to the Room of Requirements insisting that I treat my hands before they become worst. They were much more angry than I was and I found it funny.
On our way to the common room, they began plotting my revenge and I did not protest since it would be futile and half hearted, as I myself don't really want them to cancel their plans.
It will be entertaining to watch and they never get into trouble, since they don't go to their detentions anyway and the teachers stopped asking them to. Points still come out from our house, but the other students do not mind since they support the pranks Fred and George pull.
