Hogwarts and sorting ceremony

It is now a week after Hagrid had dropped me off after our visit to Diagon Ally. I have been anxious over the entire week. I'm even more anxious today because, yup you guessed right I'm starting Hogwarts. I knew I'd have to take the train to appear normal and I'm fully aware that maybe I'll never get to be in my dragon form at Hogwarts unless I sneak away and transform. Of course headmaster Dumbledore wouldn't want me to transform because people might think I'm a danger to the students. He didn't talk to me yet other than that letter he sent but I think it's common sense. He's already doing me a good by accepting me into his school. I really hope I don't mess this up.

I got up and packed my belongings and all the stuff I got from Diagon Ally into my trunk. I put Kiara into her cage and she's okay with it since I explained last night that it's the rule. I allowed shadow to curl up on my shoulders. After I finished shrinking my trunk I made my way to the train station by walking. It wasn't far. I took out my train ticket and saw that I have to enter through platform 9 and three quarters. I saw platform nine and ten and guessed that there must be a platform nine and three quarters in the middle invisible because of the muggles. Just so I don't run into a wall I had to make sure. I quickly waved my hands and casted a wandless, wordless spell to reveal any hidden doorway. The spell came out positive and I walked through the wall. It was amazing. I looked around in awe at the beautiful scarlet train infront of me. The platform was crowded with children of all ages as well as parents. One family looked huge. They were all redheads. One set were twins. They were fussing with their mom about God knows what. There were two younger children a boy and a girl. They don't have their trunks so I'm assuming that they don't start Hogwarts as yet. Behind them were two older boys who looked like they had finished school a while ago. Just then another boy with Hogwarts uniform came striding towards them. He must be another of their children, I thought. I think I've lost count.

I looked away from the family and walked towards the train. When I entered I looked for an empty compartment. There was one to the very back and I set down Kiara. Shadow was asleep on my shoulders still and I fell asleep when I sat down.
I awoke to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see red hair. The twins. What do they want.

" You have to go change. We're almost there." One said.
I groaned and got up.

After I changed I re-entered my compartment to find the twins playing with Shadow. I sat down and we started talking. They said the were in second year. I learned their names were Fred and George and that they like to prank. I've found a little difference in their facial features that I can identify them by. I probably won't have found it if wasn't for my enhanced vision as a dragon. It's almost impossible to see.
The train came to a stop and we exited. They parted from me saying that they have to go a different route. I heard Hagrid 's booming voice calling for first years. I followed it and found Hagrid by a lake with some other first years. I greeted him and made my way into a boat.

The boat ride to the castle was very scenic. Now I know why first years get to go this way, it's so that we see the full beauty of the castle. I'm now standing in the great hall. Professor McGonagall had already given us our speech and we were now waiting on the hat to finish it's annual song.

After it finished, professor McGonagall began calling out names one by one. I watched my peers being sorted and hoped I would go where I belong. After hearing the houses description, I don't know where I belong.
I heard my name being called and I walked up to the stool. Professor McGonagall placed the hat on my head and I waited.

"What do we have here? You are a part of greatness. A born leader, I see. You're very smart but not suited for Ravenclaw. Very loyal but not so much as for Hufflepuff. Very brave, oh yes indeed I see a great deal of bravery, so Griffindor but you're also very cunning. You'll go to any lengths for your loved ones. You can turn dark if needed so it could also be Slitherin. I'm finding this hard. Do you have any suggestions as to where you wish to be?"

"No," I thought "just put me where you think I belong"

"In that case, I see even though you are cunning, there is one of your traits that stand out the most...your bravery.
So better be.......... Griffindor."

" Thanks" I thought.

I heard cheering mostly from the Griffindor table as I made my way over. Fred and George scooted over so I could sit next to them. I ate a bit since I don't have a huge appetite and then left with the prefect and other first years. After I got to my dormitory I looked for my bed among the four. I noticed Kiara's cage next to the bed that shadow was on and my trunk at the base. I didn't bother to talk to the other girls and it didn't seem that anyone wanted to talk. Guess we'll do that tomorrow. I changed and went to bed. It had been a long day and so far I was enjoying it. I'll see what tommorow holds. I soon fell asleep exhausted.
