Horizontal
Always horizontal,
Shut away from day,
In the dark is where I stay
Why is it so hard
To be vertical
Why is it so hard to identify
As anything but clinical
Every tiny movement
The smallest blink
Pushes her to the brink
Alway horizontal
Knees tucked into her chest
Heart unbeating in her breast
Always horizontal
Turned towards the wall
Except for the tears that fall
Vertical
