Someone is floating Face down
Someone is floating
Silence the only sound
The ripples in the water are playing their memories
Like an old time movie reel
But the person floating can't feel
But it's nothing new
This numbness has been present for centuries
Empty and pale
Has the person
Floating face down
Always been there?
Perhaps they were never truly alive.
Perhaps they were drowning their entire life
Suffocating
Gasping for air
Perhaps they have been there
Drowning.
Perhaps I have always been there
Drowning,
Suffocating,
Gasping for air.
Perhaps I have always been floating face down.
