Ron's POV

"No"

"Come on! Please?"

"Ginny, I love you, but no"

"Babe please! It'll make you feel better"

"...Why do you want me to do this again?"

I rolled my eyes. Ginny had spent nearly all breakfast to convince Harry to clear the air with Malfoy and become friends. Sort of leaving the past in the past.

So, the thing is that Malfoy had been cleared of all charges in his trial. He and his mom had been let go given that they had been under threats from Lucius Malfoy and therefore been forced to work for Voldemort (A/N: I don't really know who went to trial or who got accused of what but this is what came to my mind). After been cleared due to abuse he'd come back to Hogwarts, but he seemed a kind of different. He wouldn't use the 'm'  word anymore, sort of kept to himself. He'd seem rather nice if we didn't know any better.

I for one thought, good riddance, but Hermione agreed with Ginny. Apparently, Malfoy had actually reached out to her specifically and apologized for the things he'd said to her. That had come as a shock to all of us, but Ginny had also made peace with him and was now telling us to do so.

"Because!" Ginny went on "It's only fair! Not just to him, but to yourself. It's not good to hold a grudge" Harry glanced over at Malfoy.

"She's right guys. I think you should go too, Ronald." Hermione appeared from behind me and dropped on the bench next to me. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. It had been just last night that I'd asked her to be my girlfriend and kissed her, but I already wanted to do it again. It still felt like a dream but when she held my hand under the table, I knew it really had happened.

I looked over at Harry "Your call mate"

Harry looked back at Ginny and sighed "Ughh fine" he leaned down and kissed her forehead. There still seemed to be some tension from last night between them. Hermione squeezed my hand under the table, and we walked over to the Slytherin table. Malfoy looked up at us.

"Potter. Weasley. What are you-?"

"We've come to clear the air" I interrupted him. He raised an eyebrow "You know. Like, a truce"

He started at us questioningly "You mean, you want to be... friends? Why?"

Harry cleared his throat "We don't have to be friends if you don't want to but just be civil around each other. Sort of stop the childish bickering. You know, make peace. Be nice" Malfoy opened his mouth to say something but seemed to think twice.

"Okay sure. I guess I'd say I'm sorry for everything but that doesn't cut it. So...peace then."

We nodded and walked back to our table as I heard Hermione mutter under her breath 'boys'. Ginny looked at s expectantly.

"We made a truce," said Harry

"Promised to be nice now" I concluded and nudged Hermione on the shoulder. Ginny smiled and Hermione took my hand under the table again.

"Well, I'm glad," said Ginny and hesitantly kissed Harry on the lips. I was too concentrated on Hermione's finger running over my knuckles to care.

"Um...Ron, remember that book I found in the library I told you about yesterday? I thought I'd show you. Want to come?" she looked at me and gave me a look.

"Um...yeah you mentioned it. Sure, let's go" We quickly stood and left the table. Harry and Ginny barely noticed us leave as we headed for the library. We walked the corridors in silence since we couldn't risk being seen together by anyone (we know how fast gossip goes around at Hogwarts and that Peeves knowing would come up with a creative song to sing about 'Weaselbee and Grangery kissing on a tree k-i-s-s-i-' you know what I mean).

The library was relatively empty given that it was Saturday, but there were 7 Ravenclaws, 4 Hufflepuffs, 1 Slytherin, and (to no surprise) no other Gryffindors apart from us. We walked discretely to the back of the library, near the intersection of Potion books and the restricted section, where no one was close by. As soon as we were out of sight I grabbed Hermione by the elbow and pulled her close. She stumbled forward and I kissed her on the lips. The kiss wasn't necessarily long but she held my cheek to hold it as long as possible. I pulled away only to peck her playfully on the lips again.

"Merlin, I really wanted to do that"

She laughed and pressed her forehead to mine "We have about five minutes before Madame Pince (A/N: I think that's the librarian) comes to restock this section, so we have to talk about how we're going to keep this secret" I pulled back slightly to look her in the eyes.

"Right. Harry is in no condition to find out. Bit temperamental lately. Don't you think?"

She shoved me playfully "I'm serious" I smiled, and she leaned on a bookshelf "Hold on! Don't you and Harry workout after classes together?"

"Yeah, the new gym is great by the way."

"I know, Ginny and I go in the mornings," she said dismissively. I raised an eyebrow at her, but she ignored it. No wonder she looked so good. I just thought she was one of those lucky people with amazing metabolisms (A/N: uugghh I wish, right? Those lucky few... anyways moving on).

"Maybe we could convince them to work out at the same time... so we know they'll be occupied, and we'll have some time alone" I suggested, and she grinned.

"Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Okay, I'll tell Ginny I'm working out later and then suggest she works out with Harry. You tell the same to Harry and tell him Ginny works out earlier so that he will want to work out with her. Ginny won't want to work out alone, Harry is her boyfriend who is suddenly free, problem solved." She looked up at me and I smiled "Now, don't forget Ronald. Make sure Harry wants to work out earlier with Ginny. Okay?"

"You're cute when you're bossy, you know?" she rolled eyes.

"I thought you said I'm always bossy?" I smirked at her.

"Yeah?" I leaned down and held her chin up "Well, you're always cute" I pecked her on the lips "Don't worry, I'll tell Harry" she wrapped her hand around my tie.

"Good," and then she swiftly pushed me away as Madame Pince came around the corner. She quickly picked up a random book and pretended to read. I smiled to myself. That was my girlfriend. Madame Pince told us to move away from the restricted section and If we needed something to ask for her. We silently walked back to the door of the library.

"Hey, look" Hermione nudged me on the ribs, and I looked over at her. She held out the book she had picked up. It was a huge, old book that said 'The ancient study of Alchemy' on the front. I smirked.

"Felt like light reading, did you?" I teased her. She shoved me on the shoulder and dropped the book in one of the carts by the exit. We left the library and went to the front doors of the castle, where everyone was gathering to head for Hogsmeade. We all stood outside waiting for McGonagall and thank god there was a crowd because that way it disguised our intertwined hands, however, there was nothing to cover the blushes on our faces.

A/N: hope yall like it and I'm going to be updating as soon as I can but I'm working on another fic of Percy Jackson as well... tee hee just going to drop that there :))
