Chapter 12: Date

Harry's POV:

I walked into the Owlry, the floor covered in straw, and hundreds of owls hooting softly on many roosts.

"Hedwig!" I shouted. Hedwig fluttered down to me. I give the parchment to the owl. She flies out of the open window and soars away,out of sight over the Forbidden Forrest.

"Harry?" I heard someone ask.

"Hi." I smiled faintly seeing Cho.

"I didn't think anyone would be up here." Cho explained. She moves to a brown school owl. There is an awkward silence. I noticed the door crack open again and Rhiannon entered the Owlry.

"Cho, Harry." Rhiannon smiled.

"Rhiannon, nice to see you." Cho smiled. Rhiannon smiled back at Cho and gave her a small hug. They weren't the best of friends, but they tried to make nice with each other.

"So have you found a new keeper for Quidditch?" Cho asked.

"Yes, my friend Ron Weasley." I replied as Rhiannon walked over to her owl, Sprinkles. It was a lot like Hedwig, however it had light pinkish spots, were Hedwig had black spots. Cho ties a package to her owl.

"Ha any good?" Cho asked.

"Well, he made the team. I missed the tryouts." I answered. Cho lets go of the owl and it flies out of the window along with Rhiannon's owl, Sprinkles.

"Yeah, Umbridge. You were really brave to stand up to her." Cho smiles. "You too Rhiannon."

"Yeah.....well. It was the truth." I mumbled. The doors to the Owlry burst open again. Argus Filch charges in.

"Right, Potter. I will have what your sending." Filch snapped.

"What?" I asked.

"I have had a tip-off that you are ordering a large quantity of Dungbombs! Now hand it over!" Filch explained.

"Oh suck a duck, Filch." Rhiannon rolled her eyes. Filch turned on her and slapped her across her cheek.

"Do NOT and I repeat Do NOT touch her!" I hissed, walking over to the girl who only recently stole my heart. I couldn't hold it in any longer I had to admit to myself that I may be falling for this crazy pureblood, Black. "And your too late. I already sent it."

"I saw him send it." Cho defended. Filch looks furious, regarding Cho for a moment, then turns back to me.

"I get a single whiff of a Dungbomb in this castle, Potter......and you're mine." Filch snaps. Filch turns and departs.

"Come on, I will walk you back." I mumble.

"Um, you weren't ordering Dungbombs where you?" Cho asked.

"No." I answered.

"I wonder why he'd think you were." Cho wonders, "Well, see you, Harry." I smile as she leaves the Owlry.

"Come on Rhiannon, let's get you back to your common room." I said.

"Can't have Slytherin tryouts today." she replied as we exited the Owlry.

"I thought you guys would have already had them." I said in surprise. She smiled.

"Yeah well I am captain this year, so I made it to where it would be on days that I didnt have detention." She answered as we walked towards the Quidditch Pitch. Gryffindor had practice after Slytherin so we were going to the same place. Once we reached the Quidditch Pitch I sat up in the bleachers while Rhiannon went to the ground.
