Rhiannon's POV:

Over Christmas break Dumbledore wanted Severus to teach Harry Occluemency so at some point of the day I didnt see my husband. And I thought that was just wrong.

Harry's POV:

I enter Snape's classroom and he is sitting behind his desk, next to a Pensive.

"Sit, Potter." He hissed. You know for a guy who just married the girl who is my adoptive sister he hasn't changed a bit.

"Yes, Professor." I said, sitting down in a chair.

"As you are well aware, I will be teaching you Occlumency. The headmaster feels you should learn this form of magic to defend yourself against the Dark Lord, who is skilled at Legilimency." Snape explained.

"What's that, Professor?" I questioned.

"The ability to extract thoughts and feelings from others." he answered.

"Voldemort can read minds?" I questioned.

"As usual, you have all the subtlety of a stone wall, Potter." Snape hissed.

"Hey watch your tone with my brother." I heard Rhiannon demanded. I turned in my chair to see her enter Snape's office and shut the door behind her.

"I thought I told you to say in my chambers?" Snape asked, with a smirk.

"Yeah and I thought I told you to be nice to Harry?" Rhiannon retorted, standing her ground.

"Fine, fine you win as usual." Snape said with an eye roll. I smiled and turned back to face the Potion professor. "The mind is not a book, of which any page can be examined. The mind is complex and multi-layered."

"So he could read our minds, right now?" I asked as Rhiannon took a seat atop of Snape's desk.

"Eye contact is usually required for Legilimency to work. In your case, however, things are different. Your scar has forged a connection between you and Voldemort." Snape said, as Rhiannon absentmindedly swings her legs. "When your mind is most relaxed, such as during sleep, you receive the Dark Lord's thoughts and feelings. The headmaster believes that it is inadvisable for this to continue."

"But hasn't it helped so far? He did see Mr. Weasley get attacked, and practically saved his life." Rhiannon questioned.

"Yes, it did, but at the expense of our advantage. The connection between you was so powerful during his visions of the snake that the Dark Lord became aware of it. The Headmaster fears that he might use it to his advantage, to manipulate you through false visions." Snape stands and pulls out his wand. I flinch, ever so slightly. But Snape merely puts it to my head and draws out a glowing string of a memory from my head and drops it into the Pensive. "Wand out, Potter." I draw out my wand.

"You may use you can think of to repel me." Snape said.

"What are you going to do?" I asked.

"Enter your mind. Legimens!" Rhiannon shouted instead. The spell hits me and I stagger back, grimacing.

I cling to a tree branch as the dog, named Ripper, barks at me from the ground. I stand over Sirius's body, a Patronus hovering over me as hundreds of dementors swarm overhead.

"No!" my face is contorted with rage. A spell fires from my wand. Rhiannon dodges it and I fall to my knees.

"Well you stopped her eventually, but you need to block her with your mind" Snape says as I climb to my feet. "Clear your mind, Potter. Abandon your emotions. Legimens!" I stagger again.
