Chapter 12 The Aftermath

Eliza:

-Move Matt! I say furious, -I want to go now, the bride and groom left hours ago. It's time to go too.-

After hearing what Luisa said to Nick, I wanted to grab her hair and throw her in the pool to get rid of her drunken ass, it was not so much what she said, but the tone that made me angry. And knowing her, it is clear that something happened between them.

I'm leaving so fast that I don't listen to what Nick says, an excuse surely, my father made some comment about why he acted that way, but frankly, I didn't pay attention to him.

I took Matt by the arm and almost dragged him. Luckily, he has had some drinks and is in no condition to protest.

Now he's snoring in the back seat of my car and I swear I hate him for being in that state. I had to ask the security personnel to get him into the ca, when we get home, I'm not taking him out of here.

-Mmmmm, where are you going? don't leave me, - he protests as I get off and leave him there.

-You will stay here, you are too heavy and I am not going to cause myself a hernia by lifting your drunk ass! You are a doctor, you should know the damage that alcohol causes. See you in the morning, and you better not piss in my car! - I close the door with anger and turn around, stomping off.

I go into my apartment, take a shower and try not to think about everything that happened tonight, but just as I go to sleep, my cell phone starts ringing.

I decide to ignore it because it is most likely Nick trying to clear things up and I don't feel like doing that. Or it could be Matt but I'm not going to deal with a drunk I'm just beginning to tolerate.

Anyway, I don't feel like talking, so I turn off my cell phone and go to sleep in a matter of minutes.
