Elizabeth's POV:
It's Sunday morning and I'm here at the library helping Malfoy with all of his missing assignments. Well mostly feeding the answers to him.
"Okay what are the ingredients to make a calming draught potion? Plus what is the color and what is it used for?" I read the question on the book.
Malfoy scratches his head with frustration. "I don't know Swan!"
I sigh. "Malfoy you can't answer every question with I don't know. Your test is tomorrow with Professor Slughorn."
He groans and puts his head down on the table. "This is ridiculous. I'm never going to pass this stupid test. I'm barely passing as it is in his class."
"Just try to really focus Malfoy. This is our last year at Hogwarts. Our NEWT is coming and we have to prepare."
"It's easy for you to say. Your top in his class. Actually, your good at all of your classes. What is something you can't do?" Malfoy asks me, curiously.
"What does this have to do with potions?" I point out.
"Oh come on, Swan. Just amuse me."
"Fine. I-I can't ride a broom properly." I mumble quietly.
"What did you say? I didn't quite catch that." He leans in more.
Ugh I hate admitting this to anyone.
"I said that I can't ride a broom properly. I'm afraid of flying and heights! " I yell at his ear.
"There can you hear me now?""You didn't have to scream at my ear, Swan." He rubs his ear with his fingers.
I cross my arms on my chest. "Well maybe next time you should clean your ears. Since I have to repeat what I have to say."
He puts one of his arms around my shoulders. Instantly making my cheeks turn red.
"Don't be like that, Swan. We're all friends here. How about this? If I pass my potions test with flying colors then... you have to ride with me at least one time on my broom."
"No way!" I get out of his hold and jump out of my chair.
"Why not?"
"Malfoy did your fall really cause some damage to your brain or are you plain dumb. I said I'm afraid of flying and heights."
"And if you didn't hear me correctly. I said that you have to ride with me only if I pass my test." He reminds me.
I eye him. "And what if you don't pass?"
"Then you don't have to fly with me and I'll never ask you again." Malfoy gives me a smirk.
I look at him unsure. "I don't know, Malfoy."
"You have nothing to lose, Swan." He sticks out his hand. "Do we have a deal?"
Staring at his hand for a few seconds. I think about it thoroughly.
"Okay. Rules are you have to pass the test 100% with no mistakes."Malfoy rolls his eyes. "Yes. But you still have to help me study. Is it a deal?"
"Deal." I grab his hand and we both shake on it.
I see him give me a full grin. As for me, I'm dreading in the inside.
...
We take a break from studying and decided to go to the Great Hall for some lunch.
Blaise sees us and joins us as well.
"Madame Hooch wanted me to tell you that she wants you to try out for the team on Friday." Blaise tells Malfoy, before he takes a bite out of his sandwich.
