Chapter 23

Draco's POV:

I watch as Swan leaves with that Matthew boy. The whole time when he was putting his arm around her shoulders I wanted to beat him to a pulp.

Plus he says that him and Swan are very close? How close are they? Swan says they're friends but it seems that Matthew couldn't keep his hands off her.

"Draco. I'm surprised to see you here all by yourself. Usually your somewhere with Elizabeth." Blaise spots me.

"I invited her to go with me to Hogsmeade but she has other plans with someone else." I tell my best friend with irritation behind my voice.

He lifts a brow. "And why are you getting mad? Who does she have plans with?"

"That stupid Gryffindor, Matthew. Apparently he asked Swan to tutor him for his potions exam. You should've seen him. He couldn't keep his hands off her and told me that Swan and him are very close with each other. Are they together?" I start to feel getting all worked up.

"I really don't know much about that Gryffindor." Blaise tells me.

"He's just always with Swan and it's getting annoying."

"Why? So you can Elizabeth all to yourself?" Blaise teases me.

I don't answer him. "Shut up, Blaise."

I start to walk away from him.

"Where are you going?!" He yells out, running after me.

"I'm going to the library."

...

I make it to the library and right away I spot Swan with Matthew.

Carefully, not to be seen. Blaise and I hid behind a book shelf a few rows away from them. Spying on what they were doing.

I watch Swan as she helps that Gryffindor study for his potions exam.

"He's not doing anything wrong Draco. What if they're really just friends?" Blaise tells me as he watches them two as well.

Swan throws him a piece of candy in the air as he catches it in his mouth. Making the both of them laugh.

"How come Swan didn't do that to me when she was helping me study for my potions test?"

Blaise gives me a look. "Your getting jealous of a boy whose getting a piece of candy from Elizabeth?"

I roll my eyes. "It's not that. It just seems that this Matthew is getting some special treatment from her. I mean look how he is acting around with her. Laughing, hugging and touching her."  I say with disgust.

My best friend looks at them again. "I don't see no special treatment. Draco are you sure your not putting more on what it actually is?"

My friend looks back at me and I look at him. I sigh and put my hand through my hair. "Maybe your right. I guess I'm just scared of losing her to someone else."

"Draco. Trust me. Your not going to lose her. She has feelings for you. The way she acts around you, it already looks like you two are a couple."

"I don't know. Ever since with the incident of kissing her on the lips and then on the cheek on the same day, she acts like it never happened. I'm waiting for her to bring it up so I can tell her how I feel about her. But it seems like it was nothing." I slump against the book shelf and groan.

"Well maybe she's waiting for you to make the first move. Maybe she wants you to admit your feelings first before she does." My friend tries to find an explanation for Swan's actions.
