Elizabeth's POV:
Ron and I haven't talked to each other for days. Three days to be exact. Every time we see each other or we end up in the same room with each other, either one of leaves right away.
I feel sorry for my friends because I know Ron and I are making it really awkward for them when it's time to eat at the Great Hall. Most of the time I would just get my food early and eat up at the Astronomy Tower. Draco and Blaise joins me every time they don't see me at the Great Hall or we sometimes end up eating at the Hog's Head.
Draco and I haven't talked about that incident at the lake. To be honest, even though we don't talk about it, it's always replaying in my head.
Still remembering the way he looked at me intently with his grey eyes, feeling his warm breath hot my face on how close he was and feeling his surprisingly soft lips pressed against my cheek.
Every time I think about it my heart flutters and I feel something at the pit of my stomach.
...
It was dinner time and I head to the Great Hall early as usual. But this time I stopped my tracks once I made it inside. My friends were all sitting down, including Ron.
As I was about to run out the room hoping to be unseen, it was too late. Harry spots me. Calling my name to come over to the table. Everyone looks including Ron.
Draco walks in and he could see me contemplating if I should go over to my friends.
"If you don't feel comfortable we can go eat our dinner at the Astronomy Tower again." He suggests to me as he walks up to me.
"She can make her own bloody decisions Malfoy!" Ron yells out.
Draco doesn't pay attention to Ron but he secretly rolls his eyes. Making me laugh a little.
"It's okay. Maybe it's best if I eat with my friends."
"Okay. I'll be at the Slytherin table with Blaise. If that weasel is acting up just tell me." Draco glares at Ron.
"Don't worry Draco. I'm one tough girl. I can handle a Weaseley."
He starts to give me a smile.
I lift up one of my eyebrows. "What's with the smile?"
"You called me Draco again. Not ferret or Malfoy. Just Draco. Are we doing first name basis now, Swan?" He points out.
"Might as well since we're friends now. Yet you still call me Swan."
"I like calling you, Swan. Everybody else calls you Elizabeth."
"Except Matthew. He calls me Swan."
Draco's nose scrunches with a face of disgust. "You need to tell him to start calling you Elizabeth from now on."
An amused expression grew onto my face. "And why is that?"
"Because I said so." He tells me a little annoyed. Not finding the right reason why.
I eye him for a few and he tries to give me an innocent smile. "Fine. I'll tell him to call me, Elizabeth."
"Good. I'll see you later. Before I go I want to do this."
Draco engulfs me in a tight hug and I felt a little uncomfortable. Knowing that a lot of people were staring, most importantly my friends. It was really uncommon for a Gryffindor and a Slytherin to become friends.
"Just want to get on the weasel's nerves before I go. For sure he's watching us right now." He whispers to my ear as I can feel him smiling.
I shake my head and chuckle quietly. He breaks our hug and says goodbye. I wave to him before he sits at the Slytherin table with Blaise. I head to the Gryffindor table and sit next to Harry. All of my friends were just staring at me,including Ron. But Ron wore the look of disgust.
