I waited for the black to fade. The nightfall was opening the curtains, and the flickering crimson light once again embraced me in this cold wintry night. The face of the man beside me crumbled when he saw Alexis slowly appearing in front with his eyes were screaming confusion.

“Kasama mo s’ya?” Dark asked while pointing Alexis, who was looking at us curiously.

I nodded and looked at him with confusion, “Yes, you didn’t saw her?”

He weakly shook his head with his eyes still locked to her. Alexis languidly looked at us and pointed below. I immediately put my trousers back and avoided Alexis’s eyes.

I cleared my throat and drifted my attention to the Stone of Pyre; the lake was still crystallized, so getting closer to the stone wasn’t the issue.

It was a beautiful stone, a transparent stone with a fire imprisoned in its center and the flicker of lights surrounding it. The luminosity of the stone was coming from the peculiar fire; it was igniting, yet it was imprisoned.

“Hold it,” Dark whispered. I unknowingly held the stone.

I twitched when I felt massive magical energy coursing in my body coming from the stone. My veins began to light up, and the circulation was visible in our naked eyes.

“Lockser, come back here, quick!” Alexis shouted.

I carefully stood up, and when I was about to take a step. My feet weren’t budging.

The midnight sky was emitting another peculiar light in which the trees failed to cover, and slowly the vicinity began to felt like the wasteland of white. Napangiwi na lamang ako nang maramdaman ko ang unti-unting pag akyat ng yelo sa aking katawan kasabay nito ang isang kakaiba at malakas na prisensya, magic energy coming from a god.

Alexis' eyes glimmers along with the appearance of her odd yet beautiful blessing, tons of holographic screen appeared in front. Letters, words began to surround both Dark and I. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang kakaibang pakiramdam na ito ngunit lalo lamang akong namangha sa kapangyarihan n’ya— loading screen appeared in my façade as if data are being transferred to me.

These are not data, these are ideas.

With the use of my blessing, I covered the lake with a yellow flame. “My ice won’t melt,” I smirked when our guest, slowly step out of the shadow. Just like Alexis’ planned.

My smirked faded.

That person.

Her crystal blue eyes glance at Alexis, and she smirked. “It is odd to see a woman alongside men.” She said.
