“Start living now. Every minute. Every breath. Is a gift.” Live your life to the fullest. Every minute we get, every breath we take, all the friendships we make, it’s all a gift. Don’t waste time with big grand gestures. While they may seem like the best type of gesture, sometimes the small things are what counts the most.
Many people in our modern society believe that the bigger the gesture, the more the person cares. But sometimes, the small things are what show us who really cares. If someone notices a small change, such as you’re wearing a new shirt, or you did something different with your hair, that shows that they notice smaller things about you that others may not. This can apply to guys and girls. Like if a girl notices that a guy is wearing a new shirt, or a guy notices that a girl wore her hair down instead of up. It may seem like something small and unimportant but the smallest gesture can make a person feel loved beyond anything they’ve known before.
I’ve never been one to love grand gestures. While I think it is a sweet attempt, I prefer just being recognized and acknowledged as another human being and not a thing to be used and tossed away. Aydin understood this and saw this side of me before I had even realized it. I had always wanted to fit in with the popular crowd. Aydin pointed out to me one day, that it was only because I wanted people to see the real me. It’s thanks to him that I know now how to live my life in the current moment. I still worry about the past and the future, but doesn’t everybody? Even though I still worry about these things, I’ve learned to be happy living in the moment and enjoying the present moment before it’s over.
Living in the now, the current moment, your present, that’s what matters. “Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now.”
Be happy with who you are because that is what makes you special and unique. It sets you apart from those who are trying too hard to fit in. Take charge of life and stop waiting around for things to come to you because one day you’ll lose something, that is so special to you, that you didn’t fight for. In the end, that can become one of your biggest regrets. So don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and make the things you want known. Don’t be afraid to live in YOUR now.
