7:26 AM

Four minutes left.

"Oi oi Ray, where is Norman?"

Don asked. He just finished copying Gilda's homework that's why he managed to notice that the certain boy isn't inside the classroom yet.

Ray, with his half-lidded eyes, shrugged.

"I texted him a while ago, he said he'll come, if not, he'll just enter at the second class."

"Huuuuh? Norman??? Ditching his class?"
Don asked once again, not believing what Ray have said.

It's quite a shock for everyone I guess. I mean, it is Norman we are talking about. He can manage to do everything all at once. A leader who thinks six moves ahead from the given task. So what seems to be the problem?
Gilda rolled her eyes at Don.

"Ba-ka. He's still a human Don. A fvcking human.. Idiot."

Ray said, ignoring Don's nonsense explanation afterwards.

7:29 AM

Last minute before the bell rang and that's when the said boy arrived. There are mild, but evident blackish circles under his blue eyes.

'He looks tired.'

Emma thought. Norman set down his bag on the chair, and caught her gaze. She gave him her signature smile, and he returned it, but not enough to reach his eyes. Probably too tired to do so.

"Excuse me, is the class president here?"

A red haired guy with pointed nose was at their door, a paper held in his left hand. With that scenario, Norman stood up.

"What is it, Nat?"

Emma was looking at Norman the whole time.

'Sheesh. I never thought that he's also the class president. There must be so much work and responsibilities he needs to accomplish.'

After receiving the paper, the guy named Nat left. Norman stared at it for a moment, reading what the letter says and went in front of the class.

"Listen. Our teacher for the first 3 subjects today won't co-"

"YOOOOSH!!!"

"LET'S PARTEH PARTEH!!"

"FINALLY! I CAN SLEEP FOR 3 HOURS!!"

Different reactions from students, of course, who wouldn't be happy if you just found out that you'll have 3 hours vacant time, and 45 minutes of break to eat? He just gave a small formal smile and went to his seat.

Not the smile he usually gave to his friends, especially, the ones he gave to Emma. A smile of a cold-hearted person, it was so dry.

"Alright I'm off. Wake me up later Gilda." Ray stated, putting a handkerchief in his face and are attempting to find a sitting position where he thinks he can sleep comfortably.

"Sure. Sleep well." Gilda answered back, going to Don's place while checking her social media. Don, on the other hand was busy pressing his fingers on his phone. Obviously playing a game. Ehem. Counted as one of the reasons why he forgot about the homework.

Norman just sighed, but composed himself when he saw Emma coming in his direction.

"Hey Normaaan! Are you feeling okay??"

She asked, her bright green orbs showed her care for his health. Emma thought that maybe he didn't sleep much, or maybe that Norman wasn't feeling that well.

He gave her an eye-closed smile.

"I'm fine Emma. Just a bit sleepy."

Not really a bit. She dragged a chair beside his seat and closed the side gap between their spaces, their arms brushing a bit making his face turn red at the sudden contact.

"O-ho-ho! Oi Antenna!"

Ray suddenly yelled at her, his face held a smug smirk after seeing the closeness between her and Norman. She just stucked her tongue out, not minding the malice behind his words.
He chuckled a bit first, and put the handkerchief on his face again.

"Then sleep. I'll sleep too. If you want, you can sleep on my shoulder...
Let's not waste time and just sleep together."

...

Her realization hit her like a flying brick when she saw Norman's whole face turned red.

"I-I mean, I'll sleep tooo~! Ee-eeh, gomen. It sounded so wrooong!"
She explained, her face becoming red as well. Both of them heard Ray laughing a bit, though his face are still covered by the blue handkerchief. He made no movements at all.

"N-no it's okaay! I understood what you meant by that." He stuttered a bit at first but laughed seeing her blushing because of her own mistake.

"W-whatever. Hmp."

Due to embarassment, she slanted a bit at the chair, and covered her face with a yellow handkerchief, her arms crossed.

He didn't say anything after her remarks, but suddenly, she felt some weight on her shoulder. A mild, but manly aroma filler her nostrils. She abruptly took off the handkerchief off of her face, and saw white locks scattered all over from her view.

'Norman's sleeping on my shoulder.'

She thought, smiling inwardly, and closed her eyes. After a minute or two, she felt his head dropping a bit of weight, which indicates that he's already in a deep sleep. That may not be the best position to sleep, but
for Norman, sleeping on Emma's shoulder is the best.
