The white haired boy didn't proceed entering the office. He thought that maybe a break will relax his mind from too much stress. Therefore, Norman just went inside the nearby café to order himself some sweets and a bitter coffee.

Unfortunately, when he went inside, the café was crowded and there are no more available seats. People are scattered all over the place making him sighed.

'Great. Just great.'

"Oh, a customer! Sir! Sir!"

He lazily turned his head towards the voice's direction and saw a brunette waitress running towards him. She bowed a little, and beamed Norman a cute smile.

"Are you looking for available seats sir? Don't worry! We have available space at the roof top for more guests, this way please."

Nah, Norman really didn't want to go and just relax at home, but a part of his mind kept on provoking him to go. He just believed that maybe because he wanted to see the semi-aerial view, and that he really needs a coffee to calm his senses and think of how things should work this time.

Norman was hesitant but chose to follow the lady. He noticed as well, that stairs were well hidden and nobody seems to noticed it because it was behind a Matte Black partition wall.

"We don't really let guests enter our area just like the normal days. But you see, ground floor is way too crowded and there are no seats left, so maybe this spot could be beneficial to our business!"

She giggled a bit, and stopped when she arrived at the roof top's doorframe, her left hand making a 'this way' gesture.

"There you go. Enjoy sir! We'll give you the menu in a bit!"

And by that, the waitress left. Norman thought that the rooftop could be nice as well. He scanned the area. Plants growing abundantly from their respective pots, chairs were organized neatly and there were even fairy lights hanging low at the background.

Overall, it was pretty. But nothing could be more prettier than seeing a familiar girl with bright orange hair and green orbs that immediately sends him off to peace.

Emma was there too. Norman knew that their current situation isn't helping at all but he felt his face heated up, just by having her presence alone.

'So this is why a part of me wants to go here huh?'

Norman didn't utter a word, he just felt way too nervous that moment, he even thought of leaving the place as soon as he can because Emma didn't even spot him yet. She's way too distracted looking at her phone, giggling a little.

'Should I talk to her? Shit..'

She spun around, ocean blue eyes clashed with the green ones. Emma was surprised, not really expecting him to be there. On the other hand, Norman was blushing so much he couldn't move from where he was standing.

"Heya Normaaan!!" She waved at him, putting the phone back into her bag and, giving her signature smile.

'H-huh?'

"H-hey Emma."

She bounced off to his direction to greet him, his heart crazily thumping inside his chest that he grew anxious by being close to the gingerhaired woman.

"I see that you have no one with you. Then, care to join me insteaaad??"

'gladly' He thought but decided to answer her in a more formal way. So much like him.

"Sure. Thank you."

They decided to go at Emma's table. The waitress suddenly came and saw the two of them.

"Oh, a couple I see.."

They both blushed upon hearing her comment but decided not to say anything, she sophisticatedly walked through their spot and gave Norman the menu, he decided to pick up his order, and the waitress walked away.

"So.. What brings you here? That's kinda unusual! You always spend your time with Barbara and Vincent!"

Emma obviously tried to start a conversation, sipping on her coffee. Norman felt like a jerk for not even saying anything to atleast lessen the awkwardness in their atmosphere.

"Well yeah, but today I decided to take a break from paperworks. I don't think I'll be able to work well with my mind messed up like this."

She nodded, her eyes blinking with curiousity.

"Hmmm I see. What seems to be bothering you then?"

'Lots. But mostly what I did to you.' Norman thought but when he was about to answer..

Emma was taken aback by what she just asked to Norman, and apologized immediately.

"Oh no! I mean, you don't have to answer that..! Gomen I'm being nosy again hehe"

Scratching the back of her hair, she laughed awkwardly making him smile at her cuteness.

"You read me well ya know. So it's fine opening up to you but let's wait until my order arrive."

She nodded in response, and soon enough, the waitress came back with 2 slices of cake and a cup of hot, bitter coffee.

"So..."

and with that, they started talking, totally leaving any reasons that made them feel awkward. The two decided to find their comfort with each other's presence, bringing them peace of mind and nothing else but bliss.
