"Eh, Norman??""Hmm?"
"What about the work Barbara was talking about? It seems important. Look, I can go home alone and you don't really have to stay if you have so much works to dooo"
Norman walks her home and decided to stay there for a bit.
"No worries Emma. It's fine."
Bzzzzt. Bzzzzt.
His phone vibrated making both of them stopped from walking. Norman picked up his phone and take a look.
Ray calling..
"Oi where the hell are you and antenna? Are you even going?"
Norman totally imagined Ray with his face scowling. He also heard Gilda and Don at the background and it seems like they are waiting for them. He glanced at Emma before answering back.
"Nope. Emma didn't get enough sleep. I'm with her right now man."
"So, you'll just stay home with her?"
"Yeah. I guess so."
"Alright. Have fun."
Toot.Toot.
He hung up. Norman knows what Ray meant with his last statement, that made him blush a bit. Emma tugged on his shirt to have his attention, staring at him with her green orbs intently.
"What did Ray said?"
He just smiled in return and shook his head.
"Nah. Nothing much. He just asked if we'll go."
The gingerhaired woman gave her signature smile.
"Okiiiiee~!"
Both reached Emma's house already and went inside.
Meanwhile...

"What did he say?"
Gilda asked curiously and fixed her glasses to adjust her sight. Ray was smirking the whole time which they thought was a bit off.
"Oh nothing really. Norman said that idiot didn't get enough sleep and she needs one. So, they decided not to come and he'll be with her."
He explained which made Don smiled and laugh a bit.
"Awww man, I seriously envy Norman!"
Gilda rolled her eyes in return and playfully punched his stomach.
"Then go find yourself a girlfriend! Tch."
Ray just smirked at the two. Obviously Gilda was just picking a fight and making herself jealous when she did not even know that Don has a thing for her.
"The hell?! I did not even ask for a woman! I just said I envy Norman because he has Emma and they are being sweet to each other!"
Gilda frowned even more, not getting why she's being so pushy in this situation. It is stupid. Normally, Gilda keeps her temper but not when they are talking about 'girls'
"That's what I'm talking about! It's just the same baka! You envy him because he has Emma, now go get yourself a girl too!"
They continued arguing, and Ray had to stepped in because some people at the mall are already staring at them.
"Oi idiots. Cut it out. Just date each other will ya? Troublesome."
He sighed and went towards the book/stationery store, leaving the two blushing at the background and denying what Ray just said.
His eyes roamed around the book store, and a book immediately caught his attention.
A Writer's Journey by Maui (A/N: This will be published as soon as I finish this story. It is also a NorEmma Fanfic btw. Hope you'll read this one too ❤ )
He read the sypnosis and figured out that the book is about a writer who woke up inside of her own story.
Ray has been fond of reading books, but not those romance and fictional type. He wanted something that could impart and expands his knowledge about scientific things and invention.
Sighing, he placed the book down on the shelf but a delicate looking hand reached for it immediately.
Ray abruptly shifted his gaze to the hand's owner and saw a woman with her blonde hair neatly braided."Anna?"

"You're blushing."
"No I'm not."
Norman denied, but his flushed face says otherwise. Emma insisted on cuddling with him on her bed. He was about to object and she immediately sensed that, but she is way stubborn and persistent he couldn't even say 'no'. So the end game, he agreed cuddling with her.
But Emma suddenly changed her position and went on top of him, her legs on the sides of his waist making his face turned red even more. Norman's heart went fast, for he found their position way too uncomfortable.
'Damn it. Emma's straddling me! Is she THAT innocent and naive about these things? I meant I'm a gentleman but I'm still a guy..!'
He thought, staring at the innocent face that made his heart go wild.
'She's so beautiful.'
"Norman.." She started, blushing as well.
"Y-yeah? Uhm, Emma, you-" He was about to mention about the way she's straddling him, but she cutted him off.
"What are we?"
Norman eventually sensed the nervousness lacing from her voice when she asked that. It was a serious question that needs an absolute answer so they won't mess things up.
Norman moved a little, and Emma decided to sit on the space beside him. They just stared at each other, making him sigh.
"I-I honestly.. ya know. I've never been in a relationship before Emma. In my whole existence, I never dated anyone or asked anyone out. I didn't even feel this way to anyone before. Even on my previous years.. Dating and Relationships like this never crossed my mind. Honestly I'm not even sure if I'm doing this correctly. But one thing I'm sure of, is that I'm serious with everything right now."
Emma's eyes widened a bit at his confession, he looked like he was having a hard time expressing himself at first, but when he did, he let it out smoothly.
"Yeah, me too Norman. I've been inside the orphanage remember? That's why I'm new to everything. I just got these ideas from the books I've read."
He smiled, kissing her forehead gently while removing some strands of her orange hair that hangs on her face.
"Let's make this official, is that okay with you?"
Hearing his proposal made her heart filled with joy. It was so new to her. But one thing that was absolute to Emma, is that she is happy.
Same goes with Norman when he saw her nod, and agreed to officially be his girl. Leaning in, he kissed her which she gladly return. It was short for the both of them, but he pulled away and muttered something under his breathe.
" I love you Emma. "
