Why would he be afraid of how I would react to seeing who he was I mean unless I knew him.....But I really didn't know anyone.

"You shouldn't be afraid of me. I should be the one that's afraid here. I mean a guy I don't even know with a black hoodie on brought me into a shed that's in the middle of the forest." I heard him chuckle at this.

"You can come sit next to me, if you'd like..." He looked over at the spot next to me on the couch and hesitantly went over and sat down.

"What I don't understand is why you helped me. I mean you don't even know me." My curiosity was taking control.

I gasped when he spoke, it was a whisper that was just loud enough to hear," because, I couldn't just let you stay there hurt and in the rain. The thought to me seemed unlikely"

My chest welled up with multiple emotions. The feeling that someone cared about me was not something normal for me.

I began to cry. It was just so overwhelming for me. I couldn't help it. I felt foolish for crying in front of him but it was too late now.

He moved closer to me, so close that I could feel his hot breathe. He took my face between his hands and wiped my tears away with his thumb.

"Why are you crying?" He whispered.

I laughed as new tears streamed down my face " because nobody really cares about me."

"I care about you Ronnie" my eyes widened at this.

"So you do know who I am. Do I know you?"

He released his palms from my face and brought them to his hoodie. He slowly lifted it off and right when he was about to take it off, lightning struck and the power went out. We were completely enveloped in darkness.

“really?” I sid sarcastically. “ The fact that just happened when you were about to take your hoodie off…” I trailed off.

I suddenly heard the crackling of something outside. It didn’t sound like anything from the storm, something told me it was something more.

I moved closer to him, grabbing hold of his sleeve.

"Did you hear that?" I whispered. I could faintly see him. It was dark outside now and the storm had gotten stronger. I scooted closer to him and without thinking hugged him out of fright. After a few moments he finally wrapped his arms around me and said " I'm sure it was just the wind or something don’t worry."

Howling erupted outside. The wolf sounded so close. It seemed that it could've been standing right outside of the shed."I don't think it was the wind." I said into his chest beginning to tremble. He pulled me closer to him. "I won't let anything hurt you, I promise”

“You better keep to that promise" I flinched as another crack of thunder erupted.

"I have to get back soon, my dad isn't going to be happy if he finds out I'm not at home"
