Hidden away- Avengers

Chapter 3

"You got detention?" Tony yelled as Katie who was getting interrogated from Nat, Tony, Clint and Cap."Of course, you did, the first day as well!"

"It wasn't my fault!" She yelled back.

"Did your knee fall into his stomach?" Tony asked sarcastically. 

"Maybe it wouldn't have if he would learn to use his manners," She replied in the same tone." And MJ's coming over so if you don't mind," she said walking past the trio to be stopped by Thor.

"You're not going anywhere mini Stark," He smiled.

"And why is that?" Katie questioned growing annoyed of them all.

"Because Bruce was going through the security camera's and saw what happened with the pancakes," Thor replied

"I don't know what you're talking about," She said looking down at her shoes.

"Oh I think you do," Thor said and signalled for Clint, to which he replied by shooting an arrow just skimming her head. She spun around and caught the arrow in her hand faster than the speed of light. She and all the other heroes looked at the arrow and Thor in confusion.

"How did I?" she questioned "No I didn't I can't," Having an argument to herself.

"Katie, did you just speed to catch that arrow?" Tony questioned carefully.

"Yes, No I mean I don't know!" She yelled panicking.

"Katie, do you mind if I take some tests on you?" Bruce said quietly.

"Great," She said sarcastically. "Now I'm a test subject."

"You are not a guinea pig!" Natasha exclaimed.

"Michelle Jones is approaching," Friday stated.

"You can take my blood later," Katie announced standing up. "I need a distraction and hanging out with my friend is the best I can think of,"

Katie walked over and opened the door to were MJ and Peter were.

"Parker?" Katie questioned.

"Yeh I just came to see Mr Stark," Peter stated out of breath.

"He's in the main room with the others and if I was you be careful what you say he's not in the best of moods," Katie warned.

"He will be in an even bigger one when I tell him this," Peter said as he walked through the hall as MJ and Katie looked at each other eyebrows raised.

Katie and Michelle went upstairs into her lab.

"I still can't believe you built all these yet you knew absolutely nothing in physics today," Michelle commented.

"I know when I'm working I just don't like to write about it," Katie said defensively.

"Ok, whatever," Michelle replied holding her hands up in defence.

"Give me your watch and we can get started," Katie said holding her hand out to which Michelle responded to by passing her the watch.

"There, now let's do this" She replied eagerly.

After 2 hours off hard work from Katie and Michelle eating pringles, the watch was ready.

"Ok I'm done," Katie announced sounding exited.

"Really?" Michelle stated jumping up. "How does it work?"

"Just press this button like your going to change the time and you get a holographic screen," Katie exclaimed showing off her invention.

"Thank you so much, KS!" Michelle thanked giving her a hug.

"No problem MJ," Katie answered."Shouldn't you get going now?"

"My parents are working the late shift tonight, do you mind if I stay until they get home?" Michelle asked.

"Yeh, of course, I'm going down to the gym if you want to come train with me, or just watch," She said kicking an empty pringle can.

"I'll watch," She replied laughing. "After them pringles I think if I even try to exercise I might die,"

"Your such a drama queen," Katie exclaimed.

"At least I'm a queen," And to that, they both burst out laughing.

The two went down to the gym and Michelle was awestruck with all the machinery and fighting things. She sat down on a wooden chair as Katie was getting changed into a pair of shorts and a crop top, she tied her hair into a high ponytail and when she exited the changing room she saw Peter and Michelle chatting to each other.

"Parker?" Katie questioned, "What are you doing down here?"

"Turns out my problem was stupid," Which he laughed too "so I thought I'd come to hang out with you two."

"Ok," she replied "Fighting or chatting?"

"Ugh. Won't Michelle find out you know," he whispered

"That your spider-man," Michelle replied to which Peter looked confused.

"How does she know who I am?" He asked sounding concerned.

"She's my best friend Peter, what did you expect?" Katie questioned with attitude.

"Fine," he said standing up. "I'll fight you, but don't blame me if you get hurt," and Katie just glared at him.

"You ready?" He questioned.

"Definitely," she murmured through gritted teeth.

 Peter charged at Katie to which she blocked and kicked him in the shin and he responded by grabbing his leg. She went to kick him in the stomach but he caught her foot in his hand throwing her against the wall of the arena. As she stood up Peter noticed something wrong with her, her eyes were glowing red and she pulled out a knife from under the floorboard of the arena. She ran at Peter tackling him to the floor knife to his neck. At seeing this Michelle rapidly made her way to Tony and Steve before leaving to give her best friend some space 

"K-Katie," Peter tried to talk to her but she just pushed the knife closer to his neck before being pulled away by Tony.

"KATIE!" Tony yelled he eyes stopped glowing and she dropped the knife.

"Why did I do that?" She asked tears streaming down her face as she looked to Peter being helped up by Steve. "Oh-my-god Peter!" she yelled running over to him. "I'm so so so sorry!"

"I'm fine Katie," he reassured her. "I'm more worried about you."

"I think it's time to do some tests now," Bruce stated as if it wasn't obvious.

"Good idea," Katie mumbled making her way to the lab.

After having her blood taken and analyzed Katie was sat in her room at her desk doodling some random objects. She didn't know what she was drawing she was letting her hand move to the music letting her mind drift at ease, a faint knock at the door pulled her out of her bubble. That's when she looked down at the paper seeing red dots, knives and graves, she rubbed her eyes to make sure she was seeing the right thing confused at how she drew these without recalling it.

"Katie?" a voice behind the door questioned snapping her out of her thoughts, she tore out the paper and threw it in the bin beside her desk.

"Yeh, come in," She answered and Natasha walked in.

"Your test results are back," Natasha sighed.

The results could rather make Katie's life 10X easier or 10X harder, lies and truths but which one is which.
