The next day Katie woke up with a smile on her face which was awfully unusual for her. Streaks of gold fluttered through the curtains landing on where her head was peacefully resting enjoying the silence that was rarely found within the walls of the tower. Lazily pulling herself up and stumbling into the bathroom where she splashed her face with ice water, washing away the tiredness. Peering back into the mirror she noticed faint black lines stretching down her left arm as if veins were about to burst. Not knowing what else to do she let out a blood-curdling scream when she realised that they were growing.
"Shh, now my weapon." A gruff voice echoed throughout the room.
"Who, who are you?" She whispered spinning around then running around her room trying to find where the mystery voice was coming from.
"I am your saviour!" It yelled causing Katie to jump and trip over her own feet.
"Show me who you are." She demanded a hint of red appearing in her eyes as quickly as it came it disappeared showing her original green orbs.
Accepting defeat a man emerged, head held high with charcoal hair slightly waved that reached his shoulder. Black and green robes that hung to the floor, gold vibrant horns escalating from his head that to others would seem intimidating but to Katie, she found them almost welcoming.
"Loki Laufeson of Asgard a pleasure I assume," He charmed as he fake bowed. "I have heard a lot about you Katie Stark."
"As have I about you: you have quite the record in S.H.E.I.L.D files." She fired back at him folding her arms in annoyance. So focused on the God she didn't realise the room around her begin to fade to discover a plain, vibrant field.
"Interesting, I have come to erase that." He snickered at his plan.
"Can you? Can you wipe out that much red?" She pondered out loud trying to get a reaction about him while taking a step forward to prove confidence. "Your ledger is dripping in gushing red, you think saving a person no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer, pathetic! You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are apart of you, and they will never go away!"
"In my whole life I have never heard so much truth," He wondered out loud for a moment processing the words that this young woman has just spoken. "It's a shame I will have to see you end your life or there's."
"What are you talking about Loki?" She questioned before everything went black.
Meanwhile, Tony was pacing up and down his lab surrounded by the rest of the avengers.
"Tony everything will be ok," Steve tried to reassure him.
"Ok? Ok? What about this is ok for you!" Tony screeched. "My daughter, my only daughter is missing. We don't even have a trace of where she is or is she's safe, who she's with or of course the simple fact that she has an alter ego that wants to kill people!"
"Found her!" Nat yelled as she walked through the room connecting her laptop to the TV screen. "Last known sighting is central park, although thanks to Fury she's now entering a coffee shop not far from here."
"Great, wait what do you mean thanks to Fury?" Scott asked clearly not informed that after Katies last dilemma, Fury put a tracker on her.
"No time to explain grab your gear she's not alone!" Nat answered while walking out of the room.
"Mini Stark must be with him," Thor mumbled hoping nobody would hear him.
"With who?" Tony asked with caution.
"Doesn't matter, be prepared." He ordered, "Remember that Katie doesn't want to hurt you."
Confused, Tony double-tapped his mini-arc reactor and one by one piece's of the suit appear around him. Hearing the team calling for him, he flies through the window following the directions to Katie's location.
"What do you want me to do now?" Katie questioned as she walked up to Loki who watched in amazement as she attacked her victims as tho she was a cheater hunting her prey, mercilessly watching as the blood pooled around her feet. The veins of black have now disappeared from her skin as if they were cured by the screams of innocents.
"That was your warm-up warrior, now for the real fight!" He cheered waiting for the Avengers.
"What if they stop me?" She questioned curiously.
"How did you know I was thinking about them?" He pondered.
"Your thoughts are loud!" She mumbled eyes flickering in all colours, always going back to her blood-shot crimson.
"Telepathy?" He questioned. "I didn't know you had another power besides the strength and speed."
"Wanda seems to think I have telekinesis, but I don't know who to believe." She slouched in a chair that was once occupied by one of the innocent victims that were now deceased amongst the others that un-cooperatively donated to the pool of red that dripped from tables and counters. What was once a friendly neighbourhood coffee shop, full of filial people. Is now a mass-murder scene that has ruined this sweet girls reputation, never will anyone treat her the same.
"Believe yourself," He spoke quietly, she wouldn't have heard him if it wasn't for the lack of breathing humans. "They will be here soon, get ready!"
"I've been ready for 16 years!" She spat standing up.
"What in the name of Odin are you doing?" He questioned as he watched the girl drag bodies and hide them in plain sight: back sat on chairs.
"Creating a scene, they need to believe I'm on their side." She answered, wiping blood from the tables before going to the back of the shop to gather cleaning materials. "You gonna sit there or are you gonna help?"
"You know with a wave of my hand I could do that for you?" He smirked to himself.
"Well do it!" She yelled growing tired of him.
"Sure, they'll be here in about 45 seconds anyway,"
With a wave of his hand the blood stained floor were now the cream white they were to begin with. Some chocolate brown coffee stains still laid on the floor. Once pools of red on the tables now only had chips and crack from the many customers the shop attracted.
"Here they are!" She smiled wickedly watching the earths mightist heroes group together running towards the shop.
"Show time!" Loki clapped.
