Hidden away- Avengers

Chapter 5

After seeing spiderman swinging off building Katie decided that the assassination of Johann could wait until she took out the red swinging bug. She swerved a corner following the bug until she came to a stop seeing the one and only Iron Man.

"Dad," She stated her face staying emotionless "Would you mind getting out my way?"

"Sure thing," He says moving to one side causing Katie to look at him uneasily.

"Really?" She questioned, "You're going to let me go just like that?"

"I am," He replied pointing to himself then moving to point at the others, "they're not."

Katie chuckled looking at them with a devilish grin. "It's your funeral."

"Cmon Kate, we don't want to hurt you," Scott said trying to seem tough.

"Yeh, that's your problem," she answered sounding innocent, "You care too damn much, me on the other hand, couldn't care less if you lived or died,"

She swung her leg over the bike and started calmly walking towards them looking each one of them in the eyes. She kept walking until she got in front of her father, she closed her eyes tightly and fell down to the ground holding her head.

"Katie!" Tony panicked nealing in front of his daughter.

She opened her eyes and looked towards the man smiling, she took her chance and punched him in the face jumping up and swinging her leg under his chin knocking him down.

"See you're just proving my point," she mumbles loud enough for them all to hear.

Clint starts firing arrows at her and she rather dodges them or catches them throwing them right back at him. Natasha and Scott started running at her throwing punches which she caught flipping Nat on her back, Scott ran over to her and shrunk jumping on her arm she elbowed a car window which caused Scott to fall off unconscious before returning to his regular size. Steve threw his shield which she immediately caught snapping it in half which caught all the avengers attention, nobody is that strong.

"For super-heroes, you're not very good at what you do," She exclaimed looking towards Clint.

Clint starts gasping for air as she keeps staring at him. Somebody comes to hit her from behind but she spins on her heel and starts kicking the God of thunder until he drops his hammer, she bends down and holds the handle of the hammer.

"You can't lift that you're not worthy!" Thor says in between gasps.

"Am I not?" As she questions this she lifts the hammer up, "What were you saying?"

All avengers turn and look at her as she neals down in pain grasping her head. Clint starts to walk closer to her as do the other avengers, they're stopped by Katie throwing a knife at them it missed them all but slit Scott's leg before she collapsed.

"Do you think she's really down?" Peter asks nervously.

"I hope so or I'm really going to regret this," Tony states as he went to pick her up.

She stays knocked out in Tony's arms as he flies her back to the tower into a different room. It had the same decor but bars on the windows and the same metal door. It has been a couple of hours and each of the Avengers are treating to their wounds or panicking about Katie.

"I don't understand," Tony uttered loud enough for everyone to hear. "It was as if she knew who she was, she knew about all of us but her emotions weren't there like her humanity was gone!"

"That wasn't Katie," Nat said carefully not knowing how Tony reacted "I don't know if she'll remember but I don't think it's a good idea for you to be the first face she see's."

"She's my daughter," he exclaims.

"I know and that's what will make her not want to see you," Nat tells him, "she always tries to impress you that's why she had me ask about the school."

Tony goes to say something but is cut off by Bucky coming in the room. "She's awake."

Natasha slowly opened the door walking in and sitting down beside the tear-stained Katie.

"Why did I do it?" Katie questions "Did I hurt anybody?"

"I don't know why you did it and you did hurt some people but you didn't kill anybody that's the main thing," Nat replied giving her a reassuring smile.

"I-I broke Cap's shield," She told her stuttering "A-and i-i lifted Thor's hammer, how did I do that?"

"I don't know Katie," Nat answered "But what I do know is that we all forgive you and to cheer you up," Nat walked over to the door. "Come in." Michelle walked in and Katie immediately ran up to her.

"Your such a bitch!" Michelle exclaimed and Katie looked at her confused. "Your stupid alter ego decided you should attack all the avengers before I could tell you the good news.

"What happened?" Katie asked far too excited.

"Peter asked me out!" She practically screamed.

"What!" Katie yelled "That idiot!" This time it was Michelle's turn to look confused. "He told me I could be there when he asked you!"

"You knew!" She boomed.

"Of course I knew you're my best friend and he needed permission," She replied whispering the last part to which Michelle threw a pillow at her arm."How much damage did I do?" 

"Well, Peter has a broken leg, your dad's nose is pretty messed up, Scott has stitches in his leg and Steve is just upset about his shield. Michelle answered trying to sugar coat it as best as she could.

"Oh-my-god," she murmured tears starting to form. "Oh-my-god!"

"Katie it's ok, no one blames you!" Michelle stated trying to reassure her but failing miserably.

"I hurt hero's, I hurt my family and I can't do anything that can make them forgive me!" She whispered tears now escaping her eyes.

"That's not true," a voice said walking in or hobbling instead.

"Oh-my-god Peter!" she yelled running up to him and hugging him, "I am so sorry!"

"It's ok, but you are kinda hurting me," Peter whispered in her ear.

"Oh, I'm sorry, again." She replied forcing a smile."Do you two mind staying here for a while to keep me company, I doubt I'll be getting out of this cage anytime soon."

"Of course we'll stay," Michelle replied for both her a Peter. Katie pulled them both into a hug and they stayed there just enjoying each other's company.
