Chapter 8: Weird Feelings

*Saturday morning*

(Y/N's POV)

Alex: "Is it morning already? It feels like we just started."

(Y/N): "We've been up all night?! Oh my god!"

Alex: "...And Junko wants to meet up today. I think I have to cancel."

(Y/N): "It was just one night, Alex. I have energy drinks in the fridge, you'll be as good as new."

Alex: "(Y/N), you know they don't work on us anymore."

(Y/N): "True. But it tastes good, doesn't it?"

Alex: "It's from the dollar store, how good can it be?"

*Knock Knock Knock*

Alex: "Ooh. Do you have a visitor?"

(Y/N): "No I don't. Wait. She is here that early?"

Alex: "So it's a she."

I walked to the door and looked through the spy. It was Chiaki. I unlocked the door and let her in.

(Y/N): "Good Morning, Chiaki."

Chiaki: "(Y/N)! You look terrible!"

Alex: "Hah. Burn!"

(Y/N): "Shut up, Alex!" "Make yourself at home, I guess."

Chiaki looked around the room. Empty pizza boxes laid around, Energy Drinks stacked upon each other and some chinese food we forgot to throw away.

Chiaki: "I feel at home already.", she said quietly as she put down her backpack at the door.

Alex took note of her hoodie. The hood resembled that of a cat's head. Right... I only saw her in a school uniform.

Alex: "I'm absolutely in love with your hoodie! Where can I buy it?!"

Chiaki: "You can't. I won it at a convention. It's really special to me."

Alex: "Aww okay.", she turned towards me again, "let's continue our session?"

(Y/N): "Sure." "Chiaki?"

Chiaki: "Yes?"

(Y/N): "Why don't you have a seat? I didn't really expect you to be here that early.", I said, rubbing my neck.

Chiaki: "Yeah. Sure. Whatever."

She clearly was upset but I couldn't figure out why.

Alex sat down on my drums. I brought an acoustic guitar with me and walked to the condenser mic.

Alex: "Alright! From the top! One, two! One, two, three four!"

*3rd person*

Chiaki winced and her eyes shut open as the loud noise entered her ears. She was used to hearing 16-Bit sounds and some EDM that she listened to while playing shooters, but she never listened to raw music up close.

The duo began their song with an instrumental acoustic guitar. Alex joined with the drums as (Y/N)'s riff repeated itself. (Y/N) danced around while still strumming his guitar. After ten seconds of changing chords back and forth he leant over to the mic and started singing.

Seeing him dance, the gamer got goosebumps she never believed to ever get. Chiaki felt the sudden urge to stand up and dance, which she did. (Y/N) noticed this and smiled as he continued his vocal part.

The lyrics were about a lost childhood and how someone saved the character out of the depths of the darkest parts of their mind by escaping their town.
