Chapter 3: Sleep over

This is the first time that I've done something like this, my stepfather and my step siblings were always going out somewhere on some mini vacation. As normal I'm left out of it. But honestly I could careless. His family always hated me and my mother.

This time I was gonna enjoy myself. Now things are different and I promise you. I'm not going back. I know there are times when things get hard and I feel like not going on. But Destini has always been there for me. Telling me to keep going and that I'll be okay. Honestly I couldn't ask for a better best friend. It's me and her against the world as two best friends should be.

This sleepover is something that I need. There are so many restrictions put on me my my stepfather and now that he's gone I wasn't gonna stop now. It's my time to shine. My time to be myself.

Destini was on her way back and the dealer had arrived. I bought an ounce of marijuana and started rolling. Yes I know what your thinking, "that's a lot of money for weed." But this is New York City, depending on who you know and what you know, you get discounts. Plus the money I have is all mine. My stepfather doesn't know but my mom only wrote me in her will and all of her earnings went to me. I have it all in my savings account but I can access the full amount until I'm 18. Which will be in a few months. With the money I do have, I spend it wisely. But with my stepfather completely aloof, I rarely have to buy food since he does that already.

Times like this which are rare, I'll order a pizza with my card. There are things I don't have to do anymore because he does it. He still thinks I'm broke but it's okay because when I'm 18 I'll leave this house and buy my own apartment. Away from this house and everyone in it.

I finished rolling and put the rest of the weed I had under my couch. Not that I was hiding it from destini but I did need to save some since she was staying the weekend. I just hoped that things went well. Let's hope for a relaxing and drama free weekend.

I lit the first blunt and started to smoke as I waited for destini. A few moments later I heard a knock on the door. And opened it seeing destini standing there. I passed her the blunt, she chuckled and we sat down and just sat there smoking.

"So what are the plans for tonight?" She said and chuckled. "Let's watch movies and chill." I said and lit the second blunt.

We sat there for about 2 hours just talking about the day and other things that crossed our minds. Things haven't always been easy for us. Somehow we live through it and continue on because there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

I sat back and looked at my phone seeing that I had got a text message from Jackson. I nearly burned myself with the blunt as I dropped my phone. "Bitch look who texted me!!" I say with excitement as I show her my phone. "Ooo Jackson. I wonder what he wants~" she teased and I could feel my face heating up. "Just text him back and see what he wants. "Okay fine I'll text him."

I sent Jackson a quick text message, simply asking him what he was doing and I didn't expect his next reply.

"Nothing, just bored. You wanna chill? My parents are home so could I come over? If that's okay with you. Maybe smoke too."

It took me a while to register what he was saying so I just looked at the phone before realizing that he smokes and wants to come over. "Des look at this!" I showed her the message and her eyes went wide. "Bitch invite him over! Don't act shy now. And hurry before he sees you left him on read." I nodded and quickly texted back 'sure let's chill' and texting my address immediately after.

He replied but the message was about destini.

"Is your friend destini there because my friend Lyric wants to see her."

Aside from me crushing on the schools hottest boy, destini likes his best friend Lyric. She was a pretty girl and destini had a thing for pretty girls.

"Desssssss, he's bringing lyric~" her eyes went wide at my statement. "Do I look good? Does my ass look fat in these jeans?" She said and I let out a chuckle. "Both of our crushes are going to be here at any moment and you think that this is a time to laugh?! Bitch we need to get cute!" Once she said that, reality hit me and I knew that things would now be very interesting. "You are completely right and now I have to get ready." I said and quickly ran to the bathroom and changed into some shorts that were comfy but showed my butt a little and a cute crop top that showed my tummy and you could also see my pink belly piercing. It has a heart shaped stone at the end of it.

Destini on the other hand wore some leggings that also showed her Butt. Along with a cute top. Now I know what you people think, and now we aren't sluts or thots. Or we're being overly thirsty. But if you knew that they dressed to tease us, it's only fair to do it back. After all, you can be sexy and tease someone without speaking in an overly dramatic and cringy way.

If we're chilling all together let's chill. But keep in mind that giving someone something to look at isn't Half as bad as what others do when it comes to their crushes. And at my school we see it a lot. My stepbrother makes it way to obvious that he just wants Jackson and every boy in our grade to fuck him. He has to force himself to dress sexy or be sexy in a weird way. And then will get mad when I come to school dressed in a moderate outfit and have guys stare at me in the way he wants them to look at him.

My point is, I don't try hard. I just naturally have it. Something my mom gifted me with, I guess that's why a lot of girls envied her in school.

We sat on the couch taking photos when we heard knocks at the door. "It's time." I said and walked to the door. Looking through the peephole. A wave of nervousness rolled through me. "Hey." I said as I opened the door.
