When Annabeth heard what happened to Olympus, she couldn't believe her ears. Yeah sure it came close to total destruction all the time but it never really fell.
The war council shifted to the infirmary where Will was treating Mr D. He narrated the entire story.
All the gods were simply chilling when an earthquake shook Olympus (or a skyquake, considering Olympus is in the sky). Everyone rushed to the sky bridge where they saw Erebus casually strolling towards them.
He gave a smug look and said, 'I am finally back. Come on clear the way. Now, there is a lot of changes required here. From where should I start cleaning this place. Oh yeah, you Olympians, the ugliest smudge on the face of the Cosmos.'
Aries proud as ever, retorted, 'Do you wish to die at my hands so dearly?'
But Erebus smiled and said, 'So arrogant. I would love to annihilate you all but I had to promise my noble subjects some fun. Hence, I won't kill you. We'll have to do with the good old torture methods. By the way where are my manners. I am Erebus, the impersonification of darkness.'
Just then a small army of monsters appeared behind Erebus. Two pitch black horses drawing a magnificent chariot cantered forward from which descendant Nyx, the night herself.
All the Gods changed into their war attires and charged forward at Erebus' army. Mr. D himself fought against some creatures too horrific to describe.
Zeus attacked Erebus and Hera leapt at Nyx (Annabeth was just surprised to hear that Hera could fight). The battle just lasted an hour or so after which all the gods were thrown in the throne room, sprawled on the floor.
Erebus and Nyx casually walked in. 'He didn't even break a sweat fighting us Chiron, not a sweat', Mr. D said.
He walked to the centre, climbed the hearth and stepped in; turning all the coal to ice.
Erebus said, 'So these are the rulers of the cosmos now. Way to go mother. Well, time to end your reign.'
Then he stabbed his sword, hilt deep into the foundation of Olympus and we were all blasted away from the explosion. 'I think, I came here because of Zeus' curse', Mr. D finished.
Annabeth was on verge of crying, thinking about her Mom and where she might have gone. Her eyes went to Percy. She hadn't noticed but they had been holding hands throughout the story. His face was blank, enough to tell Annabeth that Percy was thinking the same thing as her. What will happen now?
After listening to the story, Chiron got up and said in a very soothing tone, 'Well, Mr. D you need to rest now. Will, how long till you complete your healing?'
'At least an hour', Will replied. 'Well councillors I request a last favour from you all. I believe the harpies would require your assistance right now. When Will is done, you can all go back to your cabins and see to the order of the camp. The last thing we need is our campers losing their calm', Chiron said. 'Ajax, I need to have a word with you. Follow me.'

The councillors were divided into pairs to implement the curfew. Obviously, Annabeth went with Percy.
They walked around the camp for a bit, making sure everyone is okay but finally sat at the beach, near the basketball court.
'What are you thinking about?' Percy asked after sometime.
'I am worried about my mom, Percy', Annabeth replied.
'I think she'll be fine . She is pretty darn smart', he said. 'But the look on your face is more than this.'
'Yeah, I was thinking about Ajax', Annabeth said. 'He seems different, more divine than any of us.'
'He is a sweet, innocent guy but even I felt something different about him', Percy said. 'I guess that's because he is a child of Chaos. I mean she is the creator and a demigod from her would definitely be a little different from us.'
'Yeah but then he faced Erebus as an equal, the guy who even the gods couldn't defeat', Annabeth said in her daughter-of-the- wisdom-goddess tone. 'Also his power over light seem to be Erebus' weakness. His power look as if they were made to defeat Erebus.'
'Ok, whatever it is, it looks like a lengthy topic. So let's save it for tomorrow. Besides I know you would love to rack your brain all night over this. For now, let's just sit here', Percy said.
'You are right, seaweed brain', Annabeth said and put her head on his shoulder. Percy put his arm around her and they just sat there under the moon.
