When Chiron said he wanted to talk to Ajax alone, Ajax  knew it was something really important and definitely not pretty.
They walked into Chiron's office and he gestured Ajax to sit in a chair. He brought two cups of chamomile tea and compacted himself in the wheelchair.
'So Ajax, you know who your mother is, right?' he asked.
'Chaos', Ajax replied.
'And who is she?' Chiron asked.
'The first goddess, the creator of the universe', Ajax replied.
'Do you know what that means?' Chiron asked.
'I am a demigod', he replied yet again.
'Sadly no, Ajax. A demigod is born when a god or goddess have a child with a mortal but Chaos is so divine and powerful that her mere presence on earth can wipe off the entire western civilization. Also I don't think she'll ever even send a small part of her consciousness here on earth to have a kid with a mortal.  She has a universe to run and earth is just a small part of it. Besides there are a lot of primordial gods and none of them have ever had a demigod child', Chiron explained.
'So you are saying that I only have one parent', Ajax said in a confused tone.
'Yes Ajax and that makes you a....' Chiron prompted.
'A more divine demigod', Ajax guessed.
'No, of course not. It makes you a god', Chiron corrected. 'A primordial god at that too.  You might as well be more powerful than Tartarus himself.'
'No way', Ajax said in disbelief.
'Yes, it does and your powers are special', Chiron said in a weird accent.
'What about my powers? I can only glow like a flashlight', Ajax said in the same accent.
'Your light affects Erebus like water affects fire', Chiron explained in a different voice than before.
'It has just happened once Chiron. I don't know if I can do it again. Besides I don't even know how to fight like Percy or Nico or the others', Ajax replied.
'We may not know but we all have a purpose. You will learn to control your powers with time and you'll learn to wield a sword as well. Percy and the others went through a lot to be where they are now. You'll find your place too Ajax', Chiron said warmly.
'Yeah', Ajax said.
'And if you didn't notice, I just talked to you in three of the most ancient languages I know', Chiron said with a smile. 'The tongue of Kronos, Oranus and Gaia.'
'What? No I didn't. I possibly can't', Ajax looked bewildered.
'You just did. And that only goes on to prove that you are a primordial god. No demigod and even many of the Olympians can't speak these languages', Chiron said.
'Whoa', Ajax exclaimed.
'There's one more thing. You can't tell anyone that you are a god Ajax', Chiron said.
'But why? Can I just tell Harlan?' Ajax asked.
'No Ajax, you shouldn't. Atleast not now. You don't realise but I have been with the Olympians long enough to know that they'll not accept a more powerful god easily. To them you'll be a threat. They might be weak now but once they regain their power, all the fingers will point towards you. Besides it'll be difficult for even some campers to trust you because they have only met primordial gods on a battlefield as enemies. So to trust a primordial god and to accept you as one might be difficult for some. Give them some time and win the trust of this camp and the Olympians before you reveal your identity. And to be a god you first need to fight like one. So training comes first', Chiron explained.
'But Harlan would trust me always, whether I am a god or not', Ajax looked sad.
'I am sure he will but once the word gets out it will spread like wildfire. Even if Harlan keeps your secret, sooner or later someone at camp will figure things out. That's why I am telling you to let things be before the right time comes. I am sure Harlan will understand your situation. He is very sensible for his age', Chiron said. 'For now, allow me to show you your room.'
Ajax drained his cup of tea, got up and followed Chiron outside.
They walked through the corridor to the second door from the front of the Big House.

'This is where you will be staying', Chiron said.
Ajax peeked inside. It was quite nice for a room belonging to an ancient house. The wooden floor was sparkling clean. There was a nice bed in a corner which looked quite inviting after a tiring day. There was a wooden chest at the foot of the bed. There was a side table with a lamp, a wooden cupboard and a study table in a corner. There was a huge  window on the wall opposite to the door with a flower rack on the outside. There were some sort of pink, white, lavender flowers at full bloom in the rack. The room looked very comfortable.
Chiron wished him goodnight and went away. Ajax went in and closed the door behind him.
He walked to the bed and saw that there were some supplies like a toothbrush, toothpaste, some more toiletries, some clothes like trousers, orange Camp Half Blood t-shirts, jeans and pyjamas along with a card lying atop everything with that same pink flower on it. The card read 'Welcome to camp'.
That's a nice welcome gift, Ajax thought.
He brushed his teeth, changed into his Pikachu pyjamas, set his Voltorb alarm clock on the side table and lied down on the bed.
Yes Ajax was a crazy Pokemon fan and he had been teased a lot at his previous school for it but he loved it nevertheless.

As soon as he closed his eyes, Ajax fell into a dream where he was handcuffed to a table in a police interrogation room. A voice spoke, 'No, not there. Lower him.'
Suddenly the floor melted and he fell through it. He landed on a sandy ground covered with glass shards.
Ajax stood up and looked around. He saw a gaping depth on his right side. He walked towards it and saw that a man was chained above the cliff. He looked extremely hurt.
Suddenly someone spoke from beside him. A super handsome guy stood beside Ajax. Ajax was startled. There he was, Erebus.
Can he see me? I hope my mother loves me enough to make me invisible right now. Ajax thought.
Erebus started speaking to the guy chained above the chasm. 'How are you feeling, oh so great Zeus? I can't see your loyal followers coming to your rescue. Now either I need to go to an ophthalmologist or you have overestimated your value. Let's go with the latter.' Erebus chuckled.
Zeus grunted. 'You can torture me as much as you like but even you can't destroy my consciousness. If you are not scared of me then free me Erebus and let's have a battle. I will defeat you and chain you right here.'
Erebus laughed loudly. 'Are you serious my dear Zeus? Didn't I defeat you and your minions once already. How many times do you want to be beaten by me? Don't you have any self respect left in you?'
Erebus continued speaking. 'And as for destroying your consciousness, I don't need to do it. The pit beneath you is my mother's realm; only I can survive it. Any other immortal who falls in there will slowly and painfully be destroyed.'
'Then cut the chains! What are you waiting for?' Zeus shouted at him.
'Oh, please. I wouldn't give you the honour of my sword by cutting your chains myself', Erebus said. 'Instead someone who has more claim to destroy you than me, shall do it.'
'If you are talking about my father, Kronos, he is gone. No one can bring him back not even you.' Zeus said.
'Firstly, I didn't think you had enough brain in you to figure it out. So, good job there. Secondly, you don't tell me what I can or cannot do,  Zeus for you are an Olympian. Don't ever forget your place.' Erebus said and raised his hand. 'In the name of Chaos, you are reborn.'
Suddenly a golden orb of light appeared by Erebus' side. It grew harsher and harsher every minute. When it subsided, another guy was kneeling beside Erebus.
'Rise Titan Lord. You are finally free from your torment', Erebus said.
'I am in gratitude, my Lord and therefore I, Kronos, Lord of Time, pledge my allegiance to you till I take my last breath', Kronos said.
'Here is your scythe Kronos. Take your revenge', Erebus said pointing towards Zeus as a scythe materialized in his hand.
Kronos took the scythe and turned towards Zeus. 'Hello, dear son.'
'This is not possible', was all Zeus could manage to say.
'Say hello to mother for me, Zeus', Erebus said.
Kronos raised his scythe and in one strike, he cut all the chains holding Zeus over the chasm. Zeus fell into the pit with a roar.
Kronos laughed like a maniac but Erebus turned towards Ajax who had been holding his breath all this while. As soon as their eyes met, Ajax felt all the air in his lungs freeze. He could not even blink. Erebus smiled.
'You are next brother', Erebus said and then pushed Ajax.
Ajax's eyes fluttered open and he ran out of his room panting and soaked in sweat.
