Chapter 84

Marshall POV

I sat in the studio working in a beat.

I wish I could say I was focused but I wasn't, and if I'm honest this will probably just end up in the trash anyway.

I was meeting with Blair's sister and this afternoon.

I glanced at the clock and my heart thumped in my chest.

It was almost 4 pm.

"You ok?" Denaun said, sitting next to me.

I had forgotten he had come in to work on some beats too, I don't know how long he had been sitting there, I hadn't even noticed him coming in.

"Yeah man just working on shit in my head you know how it is"

"Must be pretty heavy shit man, you were starting a hole through the screen"

I thought for a moment.

"Its pretty heavy man, Thing is... I plan on proposing to Blair"

Denaun almost falls off the chair leaning back in shock.

"For real? That's great news man, I'm so happy for you"

"Don't say anything, only a few people know, I went out and kinda asked her dads permission"

Denaun laughed "This is huge, man, I'm so happy and shocked for you, like you even out here doing it the old school way, shit... When is it going down?"

"in a week, I'm just doing some final planning, I even got Kelly involved"

Denaun frowned "What, as in MGK?"

"Yeah man, I know, we have officially hit the twilight zone, look what she's done to me"

"Wow"

"I'm also looking into surrogacy to talk about with Blair"

"What like to have a baby?" Denaun said sitting upright and looking at me with his mouth agape.

"Yeah... You see..."

He was my best friend, I was in a better place to talk about it then I was a few months ago.

"Blair got pregnant a few months ago..."

"What? When?"

"We found out about two weeks after her birthday, but she had to have it terminated on medical grounds because it ended up being ectopic"

"I knew something was up man, you haven't been yourself, why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't tell anyone, I struggled with it more then I thought I would, Blair had to get Kim to come to find me, she found me sitting in a park with my fractured wrist"

"This all makes sense to me man, I remember her calling looking for you, I felt like something was off"

"We made it through the storm, Blair was the one that picked me up, looked after me when she was suffering the loss too, and that's when I knew, I had to fucking marry her and give her anything she wanted, and if that's a baby? I want her to have that with me"

Denaun sniffed, and I looked up at him, his eyes were watering.

"Man are you crying?"

"No"

He suddenly lent over embracing me.

"I'm so happy for you" He said then leaned back "I can't wait to see her reaction man, this is so beautiful man"

I smiled at him "Me either"

There was a sharp knock on the door, I turned to see Erica standing there.

"Mr. Mathers, I have A woman named Allison at the front desk, she's said you're expecting her?"

"Yeah Bring her through to the meeting room, I'll grab Paul on the way"

Sitting around in the small meeting room around the table as we swapped pleasantries and then got directly into it.

"Never in my life doesn't expect to be going through this again" Paul chuckled pulling out lists and handing them to me and Allison "But I'm not surprised either, from the moment that woman walked into your life, I knew it was different"

Allison smiled at me "So, I've been in touch with everyone and it's all ready, That Colson is a character if not a little standoffish towards me"

"Yeah he's protective of Blair" I said rolling my eyes "Don't think nothing of it"

"Sounds like resin love with her" Allison said with a confused look.

"Oh he is" I said reading down the list "But it was never a battle"

"Okay so the ring, Colson has taken care of a few things in L.A... Can I ask why L.A?"

" It's weird but it's kinda the first time we actually spent together, she called me up after partying with Kelly, feeling unsafe because one of his friends was hitting on her, so I bought her to my hotel... It's where our friendship actually started and the rest is history"

"That's so sweet" Allison smile "Well we booked the same hotel and room you wanted, but you know Blair you may have to tell her after because we all know she's not the best with taking hits"

"Great, anything else?"

"Nope, it's all ready for you to propose" Paul said.

We went to get up.

"Actually while where here I wanted to talk to you both" Allison said quietly "I feel like this is the right time"

"Ok," si said sitting back down "Go ahead"

"Well I know I've never been the favorite person in Blairs life, and I know she may never trust me again and that's on me" She started "But I really want to make amends, and I've been thinking the last few months"

I nodded as she continued.

"I'm assuming, and please let me know if I'm being out of order, but after you guys get married I would guess children may be on the cards, and know Blair can't conceive, there would most likely be adoption but, as a gesture of the sincerity of my remorse for hurting her and but I want to make it up to Blair, so I would like to offer to be a surrogate to you both... If that's a choice you guys would consider"

"I don't know what to say" I said quietly "Thank you, I would love to have children with Blair, you are absolutely right... I'm actually going to mention it after I propose, Paul and I have been doing research"

"You know she is going to be ecstatic right?" Allison smiled "You guys are amazing with Abby, I want to be able for you both to experience that with your own"

"Yeah I want to give her that, along with the entire world, trust me"

"Great, I love to hear that, I treated her like shit and I know it's not something that's forgiven, but I accept that I made a bad mistake, I'm glad that my mistake turned into something beautiful for Blair" Allison said standing up "Thank you for hearing me out"

I stood and pulled Allison into a tight hug.

"No, Thank you"

She stepped back giving Paul a wave and left the meeting room.

This was it.

Things had finally fallen into place.
