Zayn's Pov:

Harry had fallen asleep, in the seat next to me.

Aside from him, the only other people that came into my room, were nurses, and once in awhile Doctor Leo.

He was seeming very concerned, even though I had told him that lie.

I don't think he believed me, because I looked like the least likely person to get into a fight.

And he would be right, but I had to make up something.

Otherwise he would figure it out, and I would be in deep shit.

So mostly I slept, and watched tv.

But at least no Alan, so that was a perk.

I wanted to go to sleep, but my mind was running away with me.

What was I going to do, when I got home.

I couldn't go back to Alan, he would hurt me, and maybe even worse than before.

But I had nowhere else to go.

So what was I supposed to do?

I decided to worry about that, when I was about to actually leave the hospital.

Always me, procrastinator Zayn.

So I pretended to sleep, until Harry had woken up.

"Hey," Harry says, grinning.

His just woke up voice, was even sexy.

Hoarse, but full of hotness.

It was hard to explain, when I woke up I sounded like a dying whale.

"Hey," I mumble back.

Harry is smiling shyly at me, and I manage a small smile back.

Just then Doctor Leo comes in, and I move away from Harry.

Not that I was embarrassed about Harry, but I didn't want him to assume shit.

"Hello Zayn," Doctor Leo says, checking on my metal plate.

"Hello," I smile shyly.

"You seem to be doing better." "You can leave the hospital today," Doctor Leo says brightly.

I don't want to seem ungrateful, but I had nowhere to go.

I was too scared to say anything.

Harry and Doctor Leo would judge me.

They would probably blame me, and say it was my fault.

Because I kept going back to my abuser, Alan.

So it must be my fault, and I guess in a way it was.

I could leave, and live on the streets.

Anything would be better, than Alan's hellhole.

I just realized, I was completely zoning out, and Doctor Leo and Harry were staring at me strangely.

I look back blushing.

"You can leave as soon as you sign some papers," Doctor Leo explains.

I nod, and can't form any words out of my mouth.

"Lucky you," Harry grins, and messes up my hair, to my annoyance.

"Stop." "I know," I say, forcing a smile.

I just hoped Harry hadn't noticed.

He would feel bad for me, for sure.

I didn't want that, Harry's pity.

I could see it in his eyes, there had to be a reason.

I couldn't be the only reason.

So even Harry has secrets, but not as many as me of course.

So a nurse comes back, in a wheelchair, and I silently slide my butt into it.

Harry had brought some clothes from his house, and said I could borrow them.

I still had my hospital gown on and just shoved the hoodie on over it, and put the pants on with boxer shorts.

Then the nurse wheeled me out to the main office, to sign some papers, and then lead me outside.

It was snowing, and was freezing.

Probably in the negatives.

I was shivering, and Harry immediately noticed.

But I didn't want to be annoying, so I wasn't about to complain to Harry.

"Will you be okay?," The nurse asks.

"I'll be fine," I say assuringly.

She smiles, and walks back into the hospital.

Luckily Harry had brought my Vans, otherwise my feet would also be freezing.

"You want some company?," Harry asks, shaking his hair, and snow flies around both of us.

"I guess," I say walking as slow as I can, so I don't slip on the ice.

Harry and I walk in silence, and I look all around us.

I didn't know what to say, I was worrying too much about going home.

So I had a lot on my mind.

I wished Alan actually cared about me, but I guess you can't have everything.

We get down the path, to where my house is, and I feel a sense of dread, coming over me.

The one time I hope Harry doesn't notice, he does, and looks at my expression.

"Are you okay?," Harry asks, looking worried.

"Fine I'll see you," I mumble shyly, looking down.

I start to walk away, but Harry latches onto my arm.

"You know you could always stay at my house," Harry offers.

I turn around, and my jaw drops in disbelief.

"Really?." "Your family wouldn't care?," I ask sheepishly.

"Not at all," Harry assures me warmly.

So I climb up the tree, grab my bag, shove everything into it that I need, and follow Harry all the way to his house.

It was going to be perfect.
