"AllahHafiz. No more questions about my married life. Please." I whined.

"Ohkay. Ohkay. Bye. AllahHafiz." Nada chuckled. She has been constantly asking me questions and teasing me about Shariq.

I was talking to my people- Mom, Fahad and Nada, since I got really bored. You see, weddings are really not my cup of tea.

The only thing which excites me in the weddings is the food, even Insharah was busy with the Jhoota-Chupai ritual. I can literally hear her arguing with Rooh from ten feet apart.

"Maaaaamiiii!" I heard the energetic voice of Mehran.

(Mami- One's maternal uncle's wife.)

I turned around to see the little human being running towards me with his arms wide open. "Mehru!" I exclaimed bending down to engulf him in my arms.

He increased his pace and threw his arms around me. Aww, so cute.

"How come you are here, Mehru?" I asked wrapping my hands around him. I forgot to meet this little munchkin in all the chaos.

"I came here with Shariq Mamu!" He turned a little back to point at Shariq who was standing near watching the scene unfold, amusingly.

"He was whining a lot to meet you and jumped out of his father's arms insisting me to take him to you." Shariq folded his hands across his chest.

(Mamu- One's maternal Uncle.)

"Oh." I stood up taking him in my arms.

"I wanted to meet you." Mehran confessed laying his head on my shoulder.

Aww!

"I missed you, my Mehru!" I kissed him on the cheek.

"I missed you too!" He pecked me on my lips making me surprise at his action.

"Uh-what did he do?" Shariq questioned amusingly as he forwarded towards us.

"He is a kid. He doesn't know anything, right Mehru? You're innocent na?" I pressed my lips against his cute chubby cheeks. They are so soft.

"It's tickling." Mehran giggled in my arms.

"Oh really? I am gonna do more of it now." I did the same which made him laugh even more.

"Uméma, stop harassing the kid!" The nagging voice of Shariq made me glare at him.

"Please give your opinion when it is asked!" I snapped at him.

"Please give your advice when it's asked too!" Shariq can never leave a chance to snarl at me.

"Shariq, you know what? People live and learn but you just live, probably forgot about the learning part." I mumbled.

"Uméma you should thank God that being stupid isn't painful. If it was, I am concerned you would have been hospitalised a long time ago!"

"I-" I was going to retort back but small palms made my head turn away.

"Maami talk to me."
