Walking through the corridors, she searched around eagerly for Evander. Rosaline headed for the last place she would expect him to be in, his room.
Rosaline made her way there, taking sharp turns when she needed to, her ponytail swooshing behind her.
Walking up to the door, she took hold of the handle and opened the door. Oh..
"Oh..sorry..I should have knocked.." Rosaline backed away and closed the door gently. The sight she saw before her was something she didn't think she would be upset over. Stepping away from the door until she hit the wall parallel to it, she slid down and hugged her knees.
Evander and Queeny quickly moved away from each other. Their faces were flooded with heat and the color red. So red that Vida's kingdom wouldn't dare go up against. Queeny opened her mouth to say something but Evander beat her to it. "S-Sorry..I..I know we've just now started hanging out together and- I held back! R-Really, I did! I realized it j-just..wasn't the right time.."
Queeny looked over at him slowly. "Oh, uhm..that's alright." Evander looked down and made a few nervous glances at the snow eyed girl. "I..probably should have locked the door when we came in. My bad.." he rubbed the back of his head and adjusted his beret.
Rosaline sat there for a few minutes before getting up and running to her chambers. Damnit! Why am I so conflicted now?! He's ROYALTY! Of course he'll be that way with his damn fiancée..but still..I can't help but feel the way I do..
Ciel got up from his bed and fixed his already messy, curly hair. He poofed it to his liking and grabbed his navy blue tailcoat with black trimming, putting it on and buttoning up. Getting out of his room and walking the halls. Let's hope that Rosaline didn't screw anything up..I'll check in with her to see what happened.
Evander looked at the clock, it was barely noon and they had until the late evening before they say goodbye. "So..ahem, what shall we do now? I've got nothing else planned." Queeny looked over at him and thought hard about it. "We could have Rosaline tag along. I wanna get to know her just a bit. And..say sorry for what she walked into." Evander didn't look very sure about that, so he came up with another solution. "How about just the two of you hang out? You can catch up to me another time, I'll be in here."
Rosaline was curled up in her bed, she held herself back from crying. What reason did she even have to cry? None. She just pondered, thinking about what to do next. If Evander and Queeny marry, they will be busy with the Hue Meetings every week. And the work. They'll be gone traveling to look for whatever they need to restore the Monochrome Lands. Not to mention that at some point they'll need to have a child together. But if she interferes then the higher ups will- "Are you alive in here?"
"I did knock you know." Rosaline turned to look at the door. Ciel was standing there and leaned his back against the wall, arms crossed. "What do you want.." Rosaline turned back around with her back to him. "What happened. Why did you see?" Ciel was curious to know what happened when or if she even found them. "Uhm.."
"Oh I see. They were about to make out when you walked in just in time to put a stop to it." Ciel summarized. He sat on the bed next to her. "I don't know why but..I just feel so mad about it. It just feels like..I can't have something I'm not meant to be with." Ciel looked at her with a solemn expression that said, 'I know how that feels'.
["The Primary kingdoms are going to be holding a meeting here in late December. Queeny, Evander, Julia, and of course Mother Crystal will be there. If you want your little prince then listen to my plan." Ciel had a serious face when he looked at Rosaline who was almost frightened. "Right.." "Stay away from Evander and Queeny. I'll do the same. They're going to be asking questions about their relationship and the wedding plans. I'm not going to be saying anything about you or how Evander treated Queeny prior. More importantly, the higher ups will be joining us in dinner." Rosaline interrupted him there. "Wait wait wait, what about the Queen of Brown? And Gold? Silver? How come they aren't coming?" Ciel thought about it and tried to remember the papers he had received from the king. "Dahlia doesn't like the meetings and feels belittled by Mother Crystal's antlers. Plus, she's the queen of brown, the kingdoms involved are the primary and monochrome scale. Aurum isn't part of the monochrome scale and is an ass so he won't be joining. Typical gold kingdom..and as for Argenti..There's a small chance he'll be joining. Despite being the older brother of Evander, he doesn't like it here." Ciel explained. "I remember him..he hit on every girl that came around. And he left just last year so there's a chance he'll go after Qu- I'd like that actually." Rosaline said starting off annoyed but then sounding a bit happy. "Well I wouldn't." Ciel hissed back with a stern tone. "We have to keep our distance from the two until they're informed about the meeting. I want you to listen in and take what you can from the meeting. And during dinner I want you to sit as close to us as possible. Do you understand?" Rosaline looked down and answered, "Yes, sir.."]
Ciel sat up and stretched before speaking. "The meeting is on Christmas Day." Rosaline sat up quickly and looked at him. "It's what??" Christmas Day happened to be Evander's birthday. And every year, Rosaline would sneak Evander out of the kingdom and venture into another kingdom for the night.
But this time..the kingdoms were coming to them.
