Ciel turned to sit down on the chair. "Today has been quite busy. The arrival of your brother, a visit from Julia." Evander felt a little awkward and decided to sit down as well. "Are you just going to pretend like everything we talked about never happened?" Ciel turned away.
"I know you've been trying you're best, Evander. But you have one more year to stay with her and then on the third year you'll have your marriage. If anyone were to know about the neglect then people would be devastated." Ciel said more than he intended to. "What does me not hanging out with her have anything to do with the people?" "Rumors would spread about you and an assumed scandal." Evander's heart started racing.
The girls were walking about the halls in silence until it was finally broken. "So Rosaline..what do you like to do after your training?" Queeny looked up at her in question. "Well..usually I would hang out with Evander.. but nowadays..I just wander about on my own." Rosaline tightened her ponytail.
Queeny thought of a reply. "You guys seem really close to each other. But..you haven't been around one another in a while. I'm sorry if I took him from you, that wasn't my intention." She tried to laugh it off softly. "Don't sweat it, Princess..Hey, are you hungry at all? You don't seem to eat much when you come over." Queeny looked up at her.
"Evander took me in here to eat once. I didn't want to steal anything but he insisted.." Queeny looked around to analyze the nostalgia of the kitchen. "He must have really cared if he insisted." Rosaline leaned on the counter looking down. "Are you alright? You look a bit down." "I'm perfectly fine."
Rosaline turned and looked through the cupboards and drawers. "Well..I do like Evander..but if I were able to choose.." Queeny began to talk which made Rosaline stop. "I would probably choose not to marry him. He's nice and all, but I'm not too sure yet. Maybe my answer would be different if we were 2 years in." Rosaline partially looked back but then continued.
"But..now that I've been with him more often. I think I'd want to marry him a bit sooner. You don't say too much do you Rosaline? I feel like I'm talking too much..sorry!" Queeny continued on and stopped. "No it's alright." I don't know what I'm doing..but.."Evander is really nice..I like him. A lot."
Queeny looked over at Rosaline, whose back was turned. "You mean..as a best friend?..Or.." Rosaline hesitated to answer. "I..I love Evander. Everything was fine between him and I..until.." Queeny could hear soft sobs coming from Rosaline. "I'm..so sorry.." Queeny apologized softly and reached for Rosaline.
"Hey, where do you reckon Argenti has gone?" Evander asked Ciel curiously. "He's probably in his room doing Isora knows what.." Ciel answered in disgust. "I thought you guys were good friends?" "Oh we are, it's just easy to joke about that side of him." Ciel went back to his book.
Argenti walked in as cheerful as ever. "Hello gentleman! Evander." Evander turned to look at Argenti and stuck his tongue at him. "Hello there Argenti. What brings you in here?" Ciel put down his book. "Oh nothing! I just thought that the Lady of Black might have been in here. Guess not." He shrugged. "The girls went off together somewhere. Ah, Queeny and Rosaline that is." Evander stayed quiet and drooped in his chair.
"Doesn't Rosaline have a little crush on Evander? Why on the Hue Nation would you leave that jealous little snake with the Princess?" Evander sat up quickly. "Rosaline is not a snake! She's a nice person!" Argenti looked at his younger brother. "If you watched her more carefully you'd say otherwise~ I heard quite a bit of fighting in the kitchen as I made my way here. Certainly they couldn't have gone there?" Argenti said it with a cocky tone. This made Evander and Ciel concerned. The boys made their way to the kitchen.
Meanwhile..
"Get off of me! I didn't do anything to you!" Queeny struggled to push back Rosaline's hand. "There's no way I can allow you to get in the way of something that originally belonged to me! I WON'T ALLOW IT!" Rosaline pushed harder, making the knife in her hand grow closer to Queeny's neck.
Queeny managed to kick off Rosaline using her heel and tried to run off but Rosaline grabbed her ankle and twisted it. She heard footsteps outside as soon as she grabbed Queeny's ankle so Rosaline covered her mouth so she wouldn't scream in pain. "Ssshh.." she hid the knife by throwing it into a nearby garbage bin.
Argenti opened the door."Hellooo..ooh." Evander and Ciel pushed him aside and looked at the two girls on the floor. "What happened here?!" Evander sounded a bit panicked. Queeny winced in pain. "Is she alright? What happened??" Ciel was also a bit panicked. Just a bit more than Evander even. Rosaline got herself together. "She fell off the counter is all. The Princess twisted her ankle in the process so she'll need to have it treated. One of you need to carry her there." Ciel stepped forward almost immediately and went off with Queeny to the infirmary. Evander looked back in shock. The audacity.. Argenti looked back with a smug look. Interesting..
Queeny was carried to her carriage by Ciel as well. He decided not to say anything to Queeny and let her rest for a while. On Queeny's trip home she was in complete shock. This was something that she would never forget. She'll always remember this side of Rosaline and feel afraid when they're in the same room. However, she won't tell anyone about what happened.
