Colby sat on Brennen's couch. He was numb, he hadn't eaten or showered or frankly even moved. The only time he did was to the couch from his best friend's extra room..
"Has he eaten?" Elton asked with a sigh, already knowing the answer.
"No." Brennen replied.
"Neither has..." Elton trailed off, refusing to say his name after seeing Colby's condition.
"This is really bad..."
"S-stop talking...please...my head hurts..." Colby stuttered out.
Elton walked and sat next to Colby.
"Are you okay?"
Colby looked at Elton with a knowing look.
"Figured, are you hungry?"
Colby shook his head.
"Did you wanna talk about it?"
"Is sam okay?"
"No, he needs you."
"I hurt him, so badly E..."
"He hurt you too, it's been two weeks. I feel you guys should meet up."
Colby stayed quiet. He didn't want to meet up with Sam. In all reality, he would feel awful about what happened and how it went down. He would apologize profusely and then Sam would forgive him too easily and things would try and go back to normal, but nothing would ever go back to normal. He wanted to hold sam, to tell him everything was gonna be okay again. He wanted to feel the fabric of Sam's oversized hoodie and he wanted to run his hands through his soft blonde hair. Colby wanted all these things but knew he couldn't have them, and it broke him all over again. So, when Gage walked through his best friend's front door, he cried more, reality actually settling in deep in his heart.
