Dying Nature

6 1 1

Once upon a time, trees stood as tall as mountains
and the deep blue sea stretched beyond the vast lands
The skies bore the scarlet-gold sun and the cotton clouds
Everything was peaceful and serene in nature's hands

But now it withered away, plagued
by the living viruses of the earth
It paled in the presence of the humans
slowly and slowly inching towards its death

Now the leaves wilted away under the raging sun
while the mother nature choked at the human's whip
The sea lost its scent and and the air is thick
with smoke before the last living creatures slip
