I woke up the next morning to the sound of someone banging on my bedroom door. It jolted me out of my sleep and for a moment, I could feel and hear nothing except for the ringing in my head. I was terribly hungover and I felt sick to my stomach. I rolled over and that was when I realized that there was someone beside me; Rupert. He was laying down on his back, his eyes gently closed, and I realized that he must have fallen asleep here. After we had made out for awhile, Rupert and I had just talked and we must have fallen asleep together.

There was someone still banging on my door and I moved to go open it, unsure how Rupert could possibly not wake up with all of the noise that was being made. I threw open the door and then resisted the urge to groan. Will was standing there, looking annoyed and quite tired, still dressed in the clothes from the night before. An unwanted memory of how he had been on my mind while I had kissed Rupert came back to me and it made me glare at him.

"What do you want?" My voice was weak from exhaustion.

Will's eyes peered around my shoulder and he seemed to spot Rupert still sleeping soundly in my bed. Something passed through his blue eyes and then he was looking at me once again, specifically down at my neck.

"Nice hickeys." He commented, sounding irritated. "You look like you got attacked with a vacuum."

My hand flew up to my neck, my eyes widening a little. Had Rupert really given me that many? I did not have the greatest recollection of the night before but I did know that we had made out for a very long time. It annoyed me that Will had commented on such a thing and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I did nothing you wouldn't do." I shot back. "I know you how sleep around, Will."

"Oh yes because you just know me so well, don't you?" Will rolled his eyes at me.

"Tessa?"

I turned to see that Rupert was now sitting up in my bed and was looking at me and Will with tired eyes. He looked just as attractive even when he had just woken up and I shot him a small smile. I didn't know how I felt about what we did last night but I tried not to think about it too hard.

"I didn't know that you were friends with Will Herondale." Rupert rubbed his eyes tiredly.

There was something about his tone, however, that made me hesitate a moment. Rupert had sounded almost accusatory -- like he had thought better of me than to be friends with Will. I looked back at Will himself, who now held a wicked smirk on his face.

"Oh, Tessa and I go way back. We've known each other since we were kids." Will then smirked at me. "Isn't that right, Tess?"

Tess. Something in me jolted at the nickname and my face suddenly felt very hot. I knew exactly what Will was doing; he was trying to make it seem like to Rupert that he and I were close and that Rupert had something to worry about. The thought enraged me although I knew that Will had not been lying, we indeed had known each other since I was ten and he was eleven.

"Will and I have known each other for a long time but we are not friends." I looked back at Rupert. "In fact, I hate him."

"Such harsh words so early in the morning cannot be good for your health, Tess." Will smirked wider, not letting go of that nickname.

Rupert was only watching us with thoughtful green eyes and I glanced away from him. Will was still giving me that stupid smirk and I hated the way that I could not deny how attractive he looked when he smirked.

"What did you want, Will?" I demanded.

"Cecy told me to come and get you. She made breakfast." Will rolled his eyes and then abruptly left my bedroom.
