Summary: After the events that happened in the octo expansion Rider was still suffering from the aftereffects of what had happened to him.

It has been a couple of days since Rider and Goggles together with their other friends had gotten back to Inkopolis. They were glad they did and we're finally back home.

Right now everyone was back home and probably also in bed since it was in the middle of the night. But Rider laid wide awake in his own bed not being able to sleep at all. Since he had gotten back home his right eye had been troubling him quite much. But of course he didn't tell anyone about it, not wanting to worry anyone.

He was totally fine?! Or that's what he had tried to convince himself the whole time. But why was he still awake in the middle of the night and not resting? His right half of his head had been hurting since a while now not letting him rest properly. Even while unconscious he would be in pain which kind of irritated him.

But his right eye had been irritating him the most. Sometimes everything would go all blurry and if it's really bad then he can't see for a few minutes on it.

He has already tried taking medication for it but it never helped so now he just laid in bed helplessly trying to force himself to sleep.

He knows very well that he needs to seek out for help... At least letting his friends help him but he's that kind of person who doesn't want others help since he usually tells himself he's fine on his own.

A couple of more hours passed and Rider had finally managed to fall asleep, only sleeping for 3 hours though which left him still as tired as before as if he didn't even rest at all. On top of it all his pounding headache was still there. He was glad though his eyesight was still normal... For now.

Still laying in bed he looked up at the ceiling and sighed. "This... Sucks...", he mumbled to himself and massaged his head in hope to ease the pain at least a little.

But just as usual it wasn't doing much anyways. Slowly sitting upright he set his feet on the cold ground before pushing himself up. 'I'm not going to be able to sleep anyways so why not use the time to try and get my head off this...', he thought to himself, plopping down on his couch and turning on the TV.

***Little time skip***

Rider has been sitting on the couch since a couple of hours still being wide awake. He hasn't gotten any more sleep but the pain only seemed to get worse and in addition his right eye was acting up again making his vision seem quite blurry.

Suddenly his phone beeped signaling that someone has written him so he leaned over to grab it to take a look who it was. It wasn't much of a surprise though since it was Goggles.

Goggles: Hei Rider c: Can I come over?

Rider: Right now?

Goggles: If it's okay ? :3

Rider: Sure

Goggles: Yay uwu See you soon

Rider sighed and put his phone back on the table and laid down. "God please make this pain fuck off before Goggles gets here...", he grumbled and covered his eyes with his arms.

He laid around for a bit longer until he heard the doorbell ring. Getting up he was suddenly hit by a dizzy spell his vision going blurry all of a sudden so he had to sit back down for a moment. "Ugh... The hell...", he groaned and closed his eyes tight shut.

He took a deep breath before he got up again but this time a little slower. Going over to the door he opened it, seeing Goggles at his doorstep.

"Hiya ~ It's good to see you Rider!", said Goggles happily and hugged Rider tightly.
"Y-yea... Good to see you t-too", he said and couldn't help blushing brightly.

Goggles pulled then away from the hug and got into the others home. "So what have you been doing the last few days since you got back? You haven't written any of us and... I kinda got worried...", he exclaimed and looked down on the ground.

Rider had closed the door and turned around to look at the blue inkling, frowning upon hearing what the other had told him. 'What? I... Worried him?', he thought surprised and stared at the other in shock.

"D-doesn't matter what I was doing... Really don't worry about me... I'm fine.", he answered and walked past him to the living room to sit down on his couch. "Now come over. I'm sure you didn't just come by to ask what I've been doing the past couple of days.", he called turning his gaze towards the TV.

Sighing Goggles had went over to Rider and sat down on the couch next to him. Leaning against the other male Goggles looked over to the TV as well, enjoying spending time with his friend and also crush.
Rider tensed up the moment he felt Goggles lean against him but then relaxed again trying to focus more on the TV rather than the pain on his right side.

Goggles noticed though that the other nevertheless seemed quite tense. Besides that he was looking quite pale as well which was quite unusual. "Rider? Is everything okay?", he asked worriedly.

"'m fine...", answered Rider and just shrugged it off not wanting to talk about it any further. But Goggles just didn't want to drop this so quickly being incredibly worried about his friend and his health. "Rider... Please don't lie to me... I can clearly see you're in pain... Is it because of what happened down there? Is your head bothering you? Or your eye?", he asked and softly caressed the others right cheek.

"I-It's nothing damnit! Stop worrying so much about nothing!", Rider suddenly snapped and shoved the others hand off his cheek and quickly got up which wasn't very smart. The moment he had gotten up the pounding in his head just intensified and his vision got all blurry.

"Ack-?!", Rider gasped and collapsed. Luckily Goggles was there to catch him otherwise he would've hit the ground face first. "Rider?! You okay? What's wrong?!", asked Goggles clearly seeming to panic.

The other just stayed silent though and bit down in his lip, drawing blood in the progress. "Rider... Please let me help you... What's the matter?", he asked and tears welled up in his eyes. He felt so helpless... Seeing his friend hurt like this and not being able to help him made him feel so useless and helpless at the same time.

"'s... Nothing...", mumbled Rider and held his head. "Damnit...", he grumbled and covered his face with his hands so Goggles wouldn't see the tears that welled up in his eyes which by now were streaming down his cheeks. "It's not nothing! You're in pain obviously! I want to help you Rider please let me help...", he pleaded and tried to get his hands away from his face.

Rider just shook his head a small sob escaping his lips followed by another one which kind of surprised Goggles. He has never seen his friend break down like that so it must be something serious. "Come on let's get you to bed...", he mumbled and slowly helped Rider to stand up, leading him to his own bedroom.

Once there he helped him lay down on the bed and had laid besides him before pulling the others head against his own chest. "Now try and calm down a bit... Take deep breaths... In and out... Slowly...", he instructed, seeming more serious for once in a while.

Rider was gripping onto Goggles jacket tightly while sobbing loudly from all the pain in his head.

Goggles sighed, noticing that his attempts to calm the other down didn't seem to help much. "Rider... It's okay.... I'm here for you and always will be...", he mumbled and pressed a kiss to his head and then one on his right cheek.

The both of them laid there until Rider slowly started to calm down, his sobs turning into sniffles. "Don't you dare talk or tell anyone about this...", he warned the other and buried his face into his shoulder.

Goggles just chuckled and shook his head. "I won't I won't ~ don't worry. Now try to get some sleep I'm sure you will need it ~"

Rider smiled softly slowly closing his eyes and mumbling a small "Thank you" before finally drifting off to sleep.
