6. The Decision

10th November 1998

POV: DRACO
"You know what? Let me tell you something then you can decide if you still want me. I'm Bisexual. I like men and women." I felt my heart stop and my breathing hitch as Harry yelled at that bitch Danielle. He was Bisexual. I couldn't believe it. I stared in shock as thoughts whizzed around in my brain.
I knew Danielle from sitting near her in the library. She was known to hex anyone she disliked, and she asked almost any pureblood boy out. Including me four times, who -even though they don't know- is as gay as anything. Actually, that's a lie. My mother and Father know. My arranged marriage to Astoria got cancelled by my Father on my Mother's request after she worked it out. My father wasn't happy to begin with and was quite angry with me, but he understands it now, that it's something I can't exactly control and now he's not fazed by it. He said the last time we talked 'I don't think I will every let you get married Draco, personally I believe no man will be good enough for my Draco!' It made me so happy and we sat drinking Firewhiskey in his office while Mother was out in the garden.

I was in shock at Potter's revelation, so I abruptly stood up and ran back to the Dungeons. I walked into my room and sat at my desk, my head in my hands. How can Potter stand there, in all his glory an openly tell everyone that? I could never. I suddenly felt a wave of guilt and the urge to apologise to Potter and to congratulate him. He was doing what I've always wanted to do. No wonder he was a Gryffindor and I was Slytherin. I was -dare I say it- proud of him! But it's not like anything would change between us. He would never swoop down to my level. I'm not even going to lie to myself anymore, I definitely have a tiny crush on him. All the hatred was a way of coping with my tiny crush. Pansy always said the two of us would get rid of all the hatred if we fucked but I always thought differently.

Until now.

Suddenly, a leaflet caught my eye. That stupid story writing competition McGonagall decided to run. Then I thought of an idea. What if I made my wishes a reality?
I picked up my quill, got a piece of parchment and began writing...
