Nibelhiem (Sephiroth Story)

Chapter 6.

Sephiroth saw red. He didn't move. He wanted to kill. But he didn't want to hurt his friend.

"What does Janelle have anything to do with what you're saying?" Genesis smirked. He walked past me & jumped down to the bottom where the reactors were. Sephiroth & I went after him.

Genesis quickly turned around & threw a fire ball at me. Sephiroth ran in front of me & blocked the attack. I wasn't quick enough to dodge it. I glared at him. I felt my eyes burning with rage, the black materia of my necklace was vibrating again.

"Can someone tell me what the hell is happening?!" I demanded. Genesis laughed as Sephiroth pushed me a little more behind him. I got out of his grasped & went beside him. He sighed. Genesis looked at Sephiroth.

"You're in for a surprise too, old friend." Sephiroth looked at him with question in his eyes.

"Sephiroth. You were the greatest monster created by the Jenova Project." Genesis stated while walking around us as we were his prey.

"GENESIS. I THOUGHT YOU WERE ON A MISSION"
Zack yelled from the top of the stairs. I glared up at him.

"I am on a mission, aren't I?" He spoke mischievously.

"Zack. Go outside & join the infantryman on guard now." I said sternly.

"But I-"

"Now." I used my magic to levitate Zack off the ground to outside. He screamed on his way out. I laughed on the inside. But I was set to kill.

"What is the Jenova Project?" Sephiroth asked.

"The Jenova Project... Was the term used for all experiments..relating to the use of Jenova cells."

"My mother's... Cells?" Sephiroth looked away. He was questioning his childhood. I grabbed his hand tightly. Letting him I'm here. I stared at Genesis.

"Poor little Sephiroth. You've never actually met your mother." He sat down on the stair casually. Looking back up at us.

"You only been told her name, no? I don't know what images you've conjured up in your head but..."

Genesis smirked. I felt something in my stomach that wasn't good. I looked up at Sephiroth. His eyes were closed & the face he was making was like he was in pain.

"Genesis.." I breathed. He looked at me. All I saw was evil & envy.

"Jenova... Was excavated from a 2000 year old rock layer... She's a monster."

Sephiroth choked. He tightened his grip on my hand then let go. He didnt look at me or Genesis.

"Janelle was never born from a normal family. Claudia Strife adopted Janelle from Prof Hojo. She is 100% Jenova. She is the daughter of Jenova."

My heart stopped. My childhood.. My mom.. Cloud... My life.. My friends.. The lies.

I dropped my sword on the ground. I felt tears burning my eyes. I was angry.

Genesis looked down like he was sad. I knew he was being malicious.

"Janelle. Sephiroth. I need your help. My body is continuing to degrade." He stood up straight & looked over at us. Making us stand up straight in military stance.

Why would you ask for help after saying all this?

"SOLIDER 1ST CLASS Janelle & Sephiroth!" I held my breath.

"Jenvova Project G gave birth to Angeal... & monsters like myself." He waltz over in front of us & stood there smiling like he won. I want to say the first time in my life, I was scared of Genesis.

"Jenova Project S used the remains of countless failed experiments to create a perfect monster" 

"What do you want from us..." I asked shaking. Sephiroth put his hand on the small my back & pushed me behind him lightly.

"I promised.. I will always protect you." He whispered. He looked back at Genesis.

"Both of your traits cannot be copied unto others. Your genes can't be defused. Therefore, your bodies cannot degrade!" He laughed a little & looked back at us.

"Share your cells with me... My friend." He points to Sephiroth.
"Your desire.. The bringer of life, the gift of the Goddess!" Then he points to me.

"Quit calling me a fucking goddess! Stop the LOVELESS shit!" I screamed. I threw black materia at him but he blocked it. Sephiroth walked up to him with a stone cold stare.

'How was I able to do that.." I looked at my hand. I never used or had Black Materia on me. The necklace Sephiroth gave me was the only thing that had Black Materia. It is deadly.

"Whether your words, are lies created to deceive me.. Or the truth, that I have sought all my life... It makes no difference" Sephiroth grabs my hand tightly.

"You will rot."

We walked down the stairs & outside. We over hear Genesis speaking.

"I see... A perfect monster indeed. When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end, the goddess descends from the sky. Wings of light & dark spread afar. She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting.."

Sephiroth shut the door & we left the Mako Reactor.
