I lay my head against Andrea's chest as my breathing evens out.

I was tired.

I rode with Andrea in the RV, I sat on her lap.

She just kept holding me, craving my touch to somehow know that I was still there.

And I didn't mind it.

I loved the affection, I craved it.

But since the world ended, moments like these where I could just sit on her lap and do nothing was rare.

The RV lurches forward before sputtering to a stop and Dale sighs.

"I told you we wouldn't get far." He mumbles as I clamber off of Andrea's lap and follow him.

The highway was packed with empty cars, full of supplies but missing the people.

T-dog was going to siphon gas while Glenn found parts for the RV. The rest of us would see what we could scavenge.

I climb back into the RV to see Andrea fiddling with Shane's gun that he was cleaning.

"Andrea?" I pipe up.

She looks up at me. "Are you hurting?"

I shake my head. "No, I want to help look. May I please help look for things with Mrs. Grimes."

"I don't know. Do you promise to stay in their sights?" She questioned.

I nod furiously. "Yes, I promise."

Andrea sighs. "Okay. But if anything happens you yell."

I nod and climb off of the RV, heading straight towards Lori.

"Hey, Andrew." She greets.

"Hello Mrs. Grimes, Mrs. Peletier." I nod at them. "Andrea says that I can help you."

Lori smiles at me. "Why don't you explore with Carl and Sophia." She offered.

I let out a nod and head off to find the pair.

"Hey, Andy." Carl greets as he looks at the worn-down tires of a car.

"Hello." I give them a wave. "Andrea says that I can help you," I tell them.

"Okay. But you have to stay with us." Carl tells me. "I can protect you."

I smile at him and thank him, weaving my hand into Sophia's as we walk around the graveyard of cars.

"Get down!"

Rick's harsh voice was full of panic.

Sophia pulled me down with her, helping me slide under the car.

Carl slid under the care next to us.
