The day after a day off is always a busy day. Logic.

But that's even worse when your assistant decides to take a day off too and that none of the work has been done.

So, in conclusion, I'm gonna say that I pay someone to have holidays.

Amazing.

After all my work and the work I hired Kendall to do were done, I tried to join my wonderful assistant.

But no answer.

I guess she took a second day off. I wouldn't be surprised to not see her all week.

I was about to leave my office to finally join my apartment when Talia alerted me that someone was arriving to my office.

I got all my stuff together and waited for the person to show up and that's when the door bursted open in a wild gesture.

My mum appeared behind it, with an angry face and an IPad in her hands.

"Well, I'm surprised to see you working today" she said sarcastically and I frowned.

"Mum, wha-" I began but she cut me, starting to walk toward my desk "How was your little breakfast yesterday? Did you prefer the food or the person sitting across from you?" She asked, still a sarcastic tone on.

HOW DID SHE KNOW!?

"Mum, I don't see what you're talking about" I said. I hadn't the head and energy to fight at that moment so, I preferred trying to escape the fight and 'reschedule' it.

"Don't even try to lie" she said, laying the IPad in my desk. I looked down at what was on the screen and my eyes widened at the view of an article from TheHollywoodFix.

"𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹... 𝗜𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱?"

I looked up at my mum, first shocked and second ashamed.

"How long has this been going on, Romina?" She asked, disappointment clear in her eyes. "That's not how it looks like mum" I said and she chuckled sarcastically.

"He is holding your hands and you were going to have breakfast together" she said and I frowned "He is not holding my hand! He is pulling me by the wrist to get us inside as fast as possible since he has seen the paparazzi" I explained but she rolled her eyes.

"The fact that you're seeing each other is enough to upset me" she answered "But we're not seeing each other like you think we are! We are just friends and yet, I don't know if that's the good term" I told her but she didn't seem to listen.

"Is he the reason why you broke up with Mason?" She asked, already knowing the answer but just wanting me to say it out loud.

I looked down and she gasped "Oh my gosh, do you know what you've done?!" She began, her anger starting to show in her voice.

"You've let the ONLY good guy in this Earth leaving! You just ruined your future by doing this Romina! And all that because of CHARLIE?! A guy who caused thousands of problems, the one who got you pregnant and the one who got you almost killed! THE ONE WHO KILLED AN INNOCENT BABY! AND AFTER ALL THOSE THINGS, HE CHEATED ON YOU!!" She shouted.

That was too much.

"STOP!" I screamed, letting the tears and the anger going out of my body. "I KNOW ALL THIS MUM! YOU DON'T HAVE TI WORRY ABOUT THE FACT THAT I'D, ONE DAY, FORGET IT BECAUSE IT IS NIT GONNA HAPPEN!" I shouted, in tears.
