"Romina !" Addison called from the kitchen. I was at her apartment, she had asked me to come by to help her on something about work and as her fiancé had a meeting late that night, she asked me to stay with her for dinner.
I stood up from the couch where I had buried myself in paper work, and walked to the kitchen "I think I burnt your omelette" she said, her eyes looking for my reaction into my eyes.
I chuckled "I told you I was ok with making it myself" I walked behind the kitchen counter and took the pan from her hands to throw her burnt egg and make it myself.
"I'm sorry, I usually am able to cook at least an egg but today has been a very stressful day and it is not about to end" she began, sitting on a little bar-chair around the counter. "I still have so many things to do, I have to check out the dates for the tour, I have to make sure they got the good covers for the album and I also have to drop an USB key at Charlie's and this all before midnight!"
It was already 9pm though.
So Charlie wasn't lying, she is working with him. For him. I still can't believe it.
"Can I help you with one of those things?" I proposed, baking my egg. "You already helped me a lot with those paper works. Paper has never been my thing" she sighed as I turned back to face her. "It wasn't even the half of what I'm doing every day Addi. I still think I can help you with something else today"
She looked up at me, trying to think of the options we had here.
"The date-checking has to be done by me since it is my job, the calls same but... There is a last thing you can do" she said, giving me her nicest smile "I know you hate him but, that would save me so much time if you could drop him the USB key... You don't even have to see him, you can just put it in his mailbox" she defended and I sighed.
"I'm not forcing you of anything" she then added but, her eyes were saying the opposite. What Addison didn't know was that I had seen him twice today... But I guess never a second time without a third.
"Alright" I sighed and her smile grew ten times bigger. "Come here, I need to hug you" I smiled back and moved toward her to let her wrap her arms around me. "I'm gonna give you the key now and give me your phone, so that I can write you the address" she said. I got out off her arms and smiled while nodding.
"Do you smell this?" I then asked, a light smell of a burnt thing surrounding us. I turned around "My egg!" I moved quickly to stop the cooking and threw the burnt egg.
"I guess you're not a better cooker than me" she chuckled from behind me. I shoot her a cold look and she stopped immediately.
Ah Addison.

The drive from Addison's apartment and Charlie's house was quiet long, 35 minutes. At first, I thought it was gonna take 2 minutes but actually, it was going to make me lose an hour. But that was for Addi so, no problem.
The GPS led me to a part of the city out of the traffics and big buildings. This was calmer, bigger, greener and of course, classier. The perfect place to build a huge house like all the others and to live a peaceful life. This was one of my projects but, I couldn't imagine myself live in a huge house alone...
I parked my car in front of the house and got out of it. My eyes were focused on the big construction in front of me while I closed the door of my car. It was a designer one. They were all designers' here.
I walked toward the mailbox with a white envelope in my hand. Addi gave it to me to put the USB key in it so that I hadn't to actually TALK to him. Her name and the reason why this was in his mailbox was written on the back of the envelope.
