Why?

A/n yes I realized is mostly in Ella's Pov but she is the main character Soo.. Yeah lol
-Ella Pov-

I see the boys stop walking. Hm? Then I see the two groups separate. It's happening. Since Nikki was closer to Ty, she will be distracting it. And Lia is gonna help fight it but they didn't know what I was gonna do. I don't even know what I was gonna do.

"GO NOW" I heard Mitch say Nikki and Lia waited for my signal
"Ella?" I was watching what they were doing
"What for it" I saw the giant dogs go for Ty and heard Nikki almost scream "wait for it." Nikki couldn't take it anymore

"Ella I'm going"
"WAIT NIKKI" she started walking but luckily I grabbed her in time "you need to wait." She looked at me"it hurts me too you know, but if we are gonna save them and us we need to wait." She looked at Ty who was running.

And walks back to were she was. I stay where I am and look at Lia.
"Go" I said to her and as she ran out to help Mitch I turn to Nikki "you too." She started to run"Nikki here" I gave her my dagger and looked at the field and back at her

"use it wisely" she nods and runs out. I start to climb to the top of a tree and had a perfect view but at a bad time, I saw Adam get picked up by the giant jaws of the district 8 dog and into his mouth.
Mitch started screaming and got angry, every swing he took, he took hard. Nikki was crying and Lia was just plain angry.

I noticed that the district numbers were by where the dogs hearts were supposed to be but when ever it went through it they didn't get hurt. Then I realized, they aren't where they are supposed to be. The capital wasn't stupid.

I look over to Ty and Nikki who were distracting the wild dogs and then to Mitch and Lia and saw something I didn't want to see.

Mitch was running at one of the big dogs and just as he lifted his sword the giant tail came swooping down and hit it into his arm causing him to fall to the ground

"MITCH" I screamed it so loud every thing looked at the tree I was in and the dogs started walking to me. I quickly got my bow ready and aimed for each heart shooting as fast as I can. Each one right in the middle causing each dog to fall and disappear.

I look at Mitch and started running down the long branch, not realizing how high I was I put my bow on my back and jumped grabbing the lower branches each time. I hit the ground, hard. I got up and ran to him

"Mitch Mitch are you okay?" I look down at his arm, slowly removing the sword.
"NIKKI" I started screaming her name and she ran to me pulling out the rest of the gel and looked at Mitch as she was about to open it he said something

"Put it away." I looked at him
"Mitch your arm" he smiled at me
"I'll be fine" he knew he wouldn't
"Tyler" Nikki moved out of the way after attempting putting the gel on him
"Get everyone out of here now." I Started crying
"No Mitch I'm not leaving you" I grab on to him but Ty pulled me away, jerome rushed to his best friend
"Biggums you'll be alright, just pu-"

Jerome stopped talking mid word and cried
"please" Mitch shook his head
"Get out now." Matt walked up to us with Ian.
"Mitch" matt walked up ripping his shirt and tied it to were he was hurt."come on man, let's go." He stuck his hand out to help him up but he refused to move.

"Get them out of here now." Mitch just laid there on the ground. Ty and matt started to push and pull us away
"mitch please" I look at him as matt pulls me away
"please" he stays there. As we leave the arena I manage to get out of matts arms and run to Mitch.

"ELLA STOP" matt ran after me, Mitch was sleeping. I start checking his pulse and heartbeat, seems to be normal
"Ella let's go." Matt was right behind me
"Not with out him" I snapped at him
"help me carry him" I look at him
"please Matthew." He bent down and grabbed Mitch's legs and lift them as I lift his shoulders. As soon as we got to the door Ty and Lia took my place.

"Mitch you'll be okay" I hold his hand as we walked. We saw a small house.
"We should check it out before we enter" I nod and run to the small building Lia following me. We go on either side of the door I look at her
"Ready?" We both took a deep breath
"1...2...3" and barge the door open to find nothing in the first room

"I'll check this one,you that one?" I nod and start walking to the door I try turning the nob, locked. I look around to see if anything could open it, nothing. So I take my bow and shoot the door open taking the arrows back, and in the corner I see something horrible.

A dying little boy.
