It starting

A COUPLE HOURS BEFORE REAPING. And "Summer break"
-Ella's Pov-

"ELLAAA GET UP" I heard a faint voice scream from outside my window.
I knew who it was, my best friend Alex.
I slowly arose from my bed and opened my window, "What do you want Alex? It's only 8am."(A/N I'm not doing He/she said because in my opinion that gets a little annoying and confusing ..)
She looked up at me with a evil grin.

"hurry and get ready we only have a few hours before the pain starts, I want to show you something!" She yelled as she walked to my front door, opening it.

"YEAH HELP YOUR SELF IN" I laugh as I walked to my closet to grab some clothing and get changed, and quickly putting my hair up in a messy ponytail. I run down the stairs almost falling on the last step.

"I saw that" I hear my mom say, she's is already up?
"Saw what? My experiment?" I slowly say because I need a come back.. It was a bad one "Where's Alex?"
I hear Alex yell out front. So I run out purposely bumping into her.

"okay okay what is it you wanted to show me? Cause now we only have an hour so we need to hurry.."
" oh? Okay well we need to run then, because it's in the forest. BEFORE YOU SAY NO please come look it's really cool!" She added that part in really fast.

" okay let's go" I say feeling pain in my stomach, Was this a mistake?

~loopy doopy time skip~

" Look at it" Alex yells while moving forward. I turn my head to look at what she was pointing at, a beautiful meadow with a river next to it. I couldn't help but run towards it. Flowers everywhere the grass was kinda tall but a golden color. The river had crossing rocks and everything I even saw tiny fish.

"How did you find this? It's beautiful, I have never seen something so amazing before in this district!" We are in district 5, they stopped making the districts have certain jobs and stuff, I never really got why but it was great. All they need to get rid of was the games, the games.

" well I was wondering what was over here and I-" I cut her off
"THE GAMES WE HAVE TO GO" I Scream running back, she came after me. We got there in time to change and walk to the square. I was holding my little brother's, Dylan, hand he was shaking a little, we all hated the games.

"Next." I heard the lady say, I let go of Dylan and he walked up to her.
"name?"
" Dylan Crush" (A/N I couldn't think of a name) she pricked his finger, like they always did every year, as she did blood came out and she pushed his finger on the paper and he walked away.

"Next" I walked up looking at his paper"Name?"
" hm? Oh, Ella Crush." I was shy and it was sad because I don't have many friends, I'm lucky I have Alex.. With out her I would be dead.

*DA FLASH BACK*

They we're chasing me and I fell. Before I could get back up I was pushed hard into the ground. I got kicked really hard in the side and back,Tears forming around my eyes.

" OHH look it here, Ella is starting to cry. Boohoo." One of the girls named Mia said kicking me again. Her group laughed. Then she got down and started punching me, the others kicking me.

" LEAVE HER ALONE YOU BULLYS!" I heard another girl say. They kicked me one last time before getting up and walking over to the girl.
" what did you say?" Mia yelled
" you heard me, now leave her alone before I hurt you till your crying. why hurt her? What did she do to you?" The strange girl looked over to me as she said it.

" she's weird and weak, pretty ugly also why not, and you can't do anything to hurt me you're probably weak too." And with that the girl punched her in the face and shoved her to the ground making Mias noes bleed. Mia got up fast and her group ran. The girl walked over to me.
