𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗘𝗗 into her bedroom going to slam the door shut behind her as it bounced back open Allie entered the room with an emotionless expression.

"Hey," she softly whispered, "Someone needs to take over Cassandra's spot as a leader and they voted me. I don't want it."

Allie's face tightened up before it resumed her ghost-like expression, "Take it, I understand."

There was no further conversation for Allie and Mason to have. As the awkward silence became unbearable Mason excused herself from the room to walk around town and cool down. She ended up retreating to the lounge in the basement. She found herself gazing around the room in confusion at the early morning sunlight coming into the room.

She figured that she must have fallen asleep on the couch and was left there. Slightly hurt, Mason kicked off the blanket that was thrown over her. She was hurt at the fact that Grizz had left her to sleep on the couch without waking her up or moving her. In Grizz's defence, the last thing he wanted was to anger the girl any more than she had been.

When Mason walked upstairs into Grizz's bedroom she found him tugging his hoodie over his body. "How was your sleep?" He asked, very softly.

"You just let me sleep on the couch?" Mason asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I couldn't find you when I went to bed." He said. That was a lie, he had gone into the lounge and noticed her curled up on the couch and placed a blanket over her after failed attempts of waking her up.

"Whatever," she shrugged off the conversation. "Brandon Eagles was walking around last night with a gun hanging out of his pants today like it was no big deal."

"I think we need someone to be in charge," Grizz suggested glancing at Mason, "like you."

"I think we need to find out who shot Cassandra." Mason scowled. She found herself thinking back to everything that had happened that night. It was all a blur. "My leg hurts just thinking about it."

Grizz cocked his head to the side, he didn't remember Mason ever mentioning anything about her leg.

AN: Sorry for the super late update and short chapter. I've had a lot going on in my personal life and this was the last thing on my mind. I forgot my original storyline with Mason, so this very short one is me trying to push in a new storyline that I can continue writing with.
