𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 Mason and Grizz were technically living together, Grizz insisted that they both experienced a normal prom night. Upon asking what the night would entail, Grizz said he was going to get ready at the boy's house and then come pick her up. Mason would never let Grizz know how cute she thought that was, so she let out a laugh and closed the front door behind him.
The second the door closed behind her the realization of how alone she was started to set in. It was only a couple of minutes before her phone vibrated with a text message from Allie asking if she wanted help getting ready. Of course, Mason said yes as she had no idea what she was doing.
"I'm sorry I've been so mean to you," Mason mumbled as Allie ran a comb through her long brown curls.
"I shouldn't have told everyone you slept with Clarke in tenth grade." Allie shrugged.
The two had been best friends since kindergarten. The friendship ended very quickly in tenth grade when Allie accused her of sleeping with her then crush, Clarke. He didn't deny it and the whole school was quick to chime in saying they also slept with Mason.
"I didn't," Mason softly said matching Allie's gaze in the mirror, "he tried to kiss me and I shoved him."
"I'm sorry," Allie whispered, and she meant it. "Can we just start over?"
"I'd like that," Mason smiled softly. She missed having a friend around, other than Grizz. With everything going on it would be nice to have someone else to talk to.
"In that case," Allie grimaced, "I should probably tell you one more thing. I slept with your brother and Cassandra found out."
Mason snorted, "Gross. Harry?" Allie sheepishly nodded, her cheeks flushing a crisis shade of red.
The two girls found themselves settled in an oddly comfortable silence as they got ready in Grizz's bedroom which had now become more of a bedroom to Mason than her actual one. Makeup and jewellery were tossed all over the bed as the girls tried options and different looks until they were happy with their appearance.
Mason found herself standing alone at the top of the staircase, her dress flowing behind her. Her brown curly hair fell just above her hips in loose ring lights, the same ones Grizz would play with when he was anxious.
Soon enough the front door opened and Grizz walked inside wearing a suit. He looked around for Mason, his eyes growing wide as they settled on the girl on top of the stairs.
"Woah," He whispered to himself. He cleared his throat and ran his hand through his unruly hair in a sheepish manner.
Mason grinned and made her way down the staircase managing not to tumble in her heels. Although her heels were a good five inches she still fell short beside Grizz.
He cocked his head downwards and tilted her chin up as he gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. "You look like something else, Bingham."
She placed her hands on his dress shirt and pulled him in against her, tilting her head upwards and smashing her lips against his roughly. He flipped the around and backed her into the door, pressing up against her. His lips trailed down the side of her neck leaving soft kisses until they reached her collarbone. She tilted her head back in ecstasy and let out a soft moan, sliding her hands up to his hair.
He stopped, dipping his head into the crook of her neck and let out a soft sigh. "Fuck I'm so lucky to have you, Mase."
He pulled back, linking his hand with hers and lead her out to the car. The whole drive to the dance Grizz kept sneaking glances at Mason, watching her look out the window with a huge smile plastered on her face.
