The girls all were having a good time.

Some more than others.

Maggie sighed as she scrolled through Instagram.

Why couldn't she just unfollow her ex?

Adelia did that, and they both had similar reasons for breakup.

She felt like she was cheating on Zabdiel but that was stupid, considering they were just friends.

Did she want to be more?

Maybe?

She was confused.

"What are you thinking about?" Maggie jumped, not realising Summer was right next to her.

"N-nothing" She ignored her friend's piercing gaze and went back to Instagram

The door swung open and Michelle walked in, her hair looked crazy and both Summer and Maggie's jaws dropped when they saw what she was wearing.

A t-shirt with the words 'VELEZ - 29' on it. Michelle had made the mistake of wearing it backwards.

"What?" The girl looked down and her cheeks reddened.

"I-um, this was in my laundry" Michelle looked for excuses and decided to just walk away.

Summer hooted "Get some, Mich!" which made their retreating friend blush more and walk faster.

Maggie chuckled, shaking her head.

"You know, my sister's best friend is a psychologist for the birds and the bees" Summer smirked

Maggie choked "Don't you dare"

Summer shrugged innocently but Maggie could practically see the clogs turning in her friend's brain.

"Hey, Mags!" Zabdiel walked in just as Summer was getting up to go get her beach on.

"Oh" Summer smiled sweetly at Zabdiel, her voice knowing

"Hi, Summer" The blonde, oblivious to her tone, returned the sentiment.

He turned to Maggie "Wanna go see the caves?"

"Yeah!" She was never an adventurous person, but that was pre-breakup.

She'd changed.

The caves were really pretty.

Maggie was a sucker for rustic vibes and the caves dripped with that.

It was calming.

"Maggie" Zabdiel's voice broke into her reverie.

"Yeah?" She blinked

"If I told you something, promise not to freak out?"

"Sure"

"I think....I like you Maggie"

"Duh" The girl laughed "I'm very likeable, FYI"

"No, I like....like-like you" The blonde cringed at the words "That did not go as planned"

"Oh" Maggie bit her lip.

"Yeah"

The awkwardness was sky-high

"I like you too" Maggie blurted out, finally.

"I have for a long time" she admitted.

Zabdiel smiled and hugged her, unsure of what exactly to do.

Maggie knew , in her head that this would be just a summer thing.

But she wanted it to last as long as it could.
