Allie, Summer and Michelle had stolen Adelias phone because her social media was blowing up.

It was all fake. False. Staged.
But why didn't Joel tell Adelia?

Why was he so intent on keeping it a secret from her?

More importantly, why?

Summer did not hold back. 

She walked up to Joel, who was alone on the patio, no one was pleased with him so he had become a 'lone wolf'.

She slammed her tablet on the table, hard. It was a miracle it didn't break but she was pissed.

"Explain" She said authoritatively and pointed at the tablet.

Joel read the headlines and his eyes widened.

"How did you-"

"All your fans are going crazy, but don't worry, Adelia is out for today so she doesn't know"

The Mexican stared at his feet.

"You love her, don't you?"

Summer's question caught him off guard

"What?"

"You are in love with he, aren't you?" Summer repeated, slowly

"I-I-m-I mean, I dont-" The boy stuttered and Summer pursued her lips and pushed past him

She stopped, looking over her shoulder

Her next words hurt Joel more than they should have

"If you were actually in love with her, you wouldn't have hidden it from her"

Michelle smiled as she watched Christopher fiddle with his closet. He could never decide what to wear.

It was cute.

These last few days had been the best days ever. She'd seen a side of Christopher no one really saw.

Her feelings were rising.

As  Christopher kept fiddling with his clothes, realisation dawned on her.

She loved him.

Its funny how those three words were the hardest to say.

I love you

"What?!" Christopher spun around and Michelle paled when she realised what she'd blurted out.

"I-um-sorry"

Christopher shook his head, chuckling "Mich-"

"I should...." She walked to the door 

Her hand was on the knob.

"I love you too"

She spun, slowly.

"What?" she parroted Christopher's words

"I love you. I have for a while now but I was too scared" Christopher smiled, the dimple Michelle loved making an appearance.

"Y'know" Michelle took a breath "I think I might just stay in Miami"

"What? Why?" He raised an eyebrow

"The other day" She said "I got a job offer, better than the one I have at home"

"Don't you love your job?"

"I do but" She sighed "I don't want to stay stuck in my hometown, Chris. Everyone thinks I'm just that girl who's gonna stay put in her roots her entire life. I want to prove them wrong"

Christopher pulled her close, kissing her cheek.

"Whatever makes you happy, babe" He smirked 

"But just know, you ain't getting rid of me that easily"

Joel had prepared himself but nothing prepared him for the nerves that would hit when he saw Adelia dangling her legs in the pool.

She seemed to sense his presence and turned around, all joy erased from her face.

"Hey" he said softly.

No response. Only a bitchy look.

"Can we talk?"

"No" She got up and walked away, slamming his shoulder on the way out.

Joel looked up, groaning.

He had fucked up. Big time.

And he didn't think there was any way out.
