Allie did not expect this on a vacation.

But could she help her feelings? No

She liked Erick as more than a friend.

She could see he liked her too but was shy.

They were like best friends as of now

Best friends who like each other? Allie sniggered. How cliche.

"What are you laughing at?" Erick sat down beside her.

They were at the beach, hanging out.

"Nothing" She said.

No way was she going to reveal her feelings.

She'd probably end up as a summer fling to him, seeing how there was 2 weeks of summer left.

"Tell me"

"Seriously, nothing"

"That snicker wasn't nothing"

"She's thinking about how cliche you both are, both of you are best friends and like each other"

Both Allie and Erick stiffened.

Richard laughed at them "Have you seen Summer?"

"No" Allie managed to choke out.

As Richard walked away, both turned to each other.

"You like me?" They both said in sync.

"I mean..." Allie shrugged, trying to play it off

"I like you, Allie" Erick stated.

"I feel the same"

They both were silent for a second and burst into laughter.

"That was awkward"

"But I mean it" Erick sobered "I do like you"

"Erick...." Allie's head hurt "You know we can't. You live in Miami and I live elsewhere."

"We can do the distance, Al" he took her hands "I promise we can do this"

Allie blinked. It was gonna be hard.

But as he leaned in, she realised it could work.

Adelia had a long day of suntanning and was ready to call it a day.

She did not expect to find Joel in her room.

Before she could react, she was pushed into the room and heard the lock click behind her.

Her phone dinged 

You ARE going to sort shit out, love you x Michelle

The bitch.

She turned to Joel and he smiled tentatively 

"Ready to talk now?"

"Do I have a choice?" She sat down 

"Adelia, let me tell you, you have no idea what it's like being me"

She scoffed.

"I've been used for clout" He chuckles bitterly "People see me as any east=y target"

He stared at her "But then I met you. A breath of fresh air"

He got up "It was never Emilia. It was you. Always you"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because for a long time, I thought Emilia and I were real." he said "I didn't want you to think about her when we were together"

"Any other secret girlfriends?" The blonde teased

Joel flushed

"I forgive you"

"So can we go back to...."

Adelia smirked "Sure"

She didn't care about anything as long as they were together.
