Chapter 15: We Are Here...Who Is She?

After many hours, we made it to Tokyo. A lot had changed since I left the country. We grabbed our bags and went to customs to get out bags checked. After customs, Kunimitsu got us a taxi and we head off to the training.

After an hour, we got to the training camp. Kunimitsu got out of the taxi and offered me his hand. I smiled at him and he helped me out of the taxi. He closed the door and the taxi went off. We turned to the entrance and heard the someone yell behind us. "Tezuka buchou." We turned towards the sound. Three boys ran towards us. They welcomed him back. they began to cry that Tezuka thought was unnecessary. They thought he was going to compete but, he was not. Then one of them turned toward me. "Who are you?" He asked. Kunimitsu turned to him. "You will know later. Right now where is everyone?" He asked. The boys told us that Ryuzaki's team were at the tennis courts.

We proceed to walk to the tennis courts and saw that they were having a disagreement. Kunimitsu pushed the gate open. "Your coach is here," he said and everyone turned their heads towards us. They were shocked to see Kunimitsu especially here. I could see that Eiji and Momoshiro were happy to see him. Then they notice me. "Hanai-chan, you came here too," he said excited. "Buchou, Hanai-sempai, when did you get here?" Momoshiro asked. Eiji wanted to know why Kunimitsu did tell them that we were coming here. All Kunimitsu do was apologize.

Everyone gathered in the cafeteria. They were wondering why Kunimitsu was here. They wondered who I was. I began to become nervous in front of everyone. I stood a bit behind Kunimitsu. He saw me behind him and put his hand on my small lower back. He pushed me forward until I was next to him. I looked up at his eyes. I knew he wouldn't let anything happen to me. I turned my head towards everyone. They saw his gesture.

Two adults next to Kunimitsu, Sakaki-sensei and Hanamaru-sensei, began to speak about the change in position. They introduced Kunimitsu as Ryuzaki's successor. Everyone began to speak about the idea. Hanamaru-sensei explained that Kunimitsu was still in rehab so he couldn't participate. The two sensei asked him to come here to be the temporary coach. Some students rejected the idea. Some rejected because they haven't seen Kunimitsu's strength in a match. Sakaki-sensei asked Kunimitsu for his opinion. Kunimitsu said he will have a match to see if they would accept him as coach. I got worried a bit.

Someone raised their hand. I knew him from the video. His name was Kirihara. "Who is the girl?" He asked. I began to shake from the nervousness. Kunimitsu slipped my hand in his hand to calm me down. Hanamaru-sensei explained that I was there to help Kunimitsu a bit but, importantly made sure that he was doing his rehab. I bowed and introduced myself. "Hello, my name is Hanai Yumika, how do you do," I said nervously. They notice that Kunimitsu and I were really close and asked about our relationship with him. I looked at Kunimitsu. I was too nervous now to say anything so I looked at Kunimitsu for help. Kunimitsu understood and turned to everyone. "She is my girlfriend," he said. Everyone was speaking now. The Seigaku team already knew. I just blushed a bit. We all accepted him.

We got to the tennis court. The students were doubting his abilities as a coach. Kunimitsu went to his tennis bag and got a racket. Oishi wanted to know what he was doing. "His doctor said to keep his swings light so he won't have any problems," I said. He went against Kajimoto, Shishido, Ootori, and Sengoku. They were all good at tennis. They all accepted him as coach. I was glad. After that, everyone practiced and Kunimitsu wrote their weaknesses and what they need to work on. I helped out as well. After practice, I helped Kunimitsu pass out their assignment.

We went inside and had a party. After the party, it was time for bed. Kunimitsu and I shared a room. "That was intense," I exhaled. I was exhausted. Kunimitsu agreed. I changed into my pajamas in the bathroom and head to bed. Kunimitsu was looking through files on the desk. He notice that I was awake. "You should sleep," he said. "Are you sure?" I asked. He came over front the desk and pushed me down on the bed. "You look tired," he said. He pulled the cover over me. "Good night," he said. I yawned. "Good night, Kunimitsu. Don't stay up too late," I whispered. "I won't," I heard even though he will stay up. He kissed my forehead and went back to the desk. I fell asleep quickly.
