~~GEORGE'S POV~~
Letting the red-head lead him away, George felt a bit weird as he heard Darby talk to him.
He just felt too vulnerable to the girl, it was like that all the words that Darby had ever said to him built the boy to be like this.
Darby would say that she hated a certain type of food and George would stop eating it. Darby would want something and George would get it. Simple, really.
The brunet was so easily moldable.
George smiled sadly as he let the red-head take him away.
"Oh! How about we check out the aquarium!" Darby offered as she smiled.
The boy gave her a small smile as she laughed, pulling the boy into the building along with her.
George seemed unable to register anything, and before he knew it he was being dragged down a stairway.
Looking around in confusion for a moment, he paused seeing the blue glow of the water around him on all sides.
Letting go of Darby's hand George slowed to a halt, staring at the fishes that swam by.
How long since George had been here?
George's face took up a mystified expression, his thoughts running wild as he silently watched the creature swim by him.
~~DARBY'S POV~~
"What are you looking at?" Darby purred, walking up to George's side. The brunet didn't respond to the girl's disappointment. Letting out a tiny sigh, Darby decided to stay silent for once and try to find what the boy was staring at.
George's silence was deafening to her, and it was starting to make her nervous. Noticing a small lionfish swim by, the girl smiled.
"Hey, George...remember that one art project from our sophomore year?"
The brunet blinked, looking at Darby in a strange manner. "Yeah...with Mrs. Marks right?" George murmured.
"I still remember how you blew that old hag away with your coral reef drawing..." Darby lightly giggled, nudging the boy.
George offered an empty laugh as well. Not liking the reaction she got from the boy, she took him by the hand and ran down the large hallway.
Maybe....George would finally be somewhat interesting if he saw something that he wasn't supposed to see.
