Pokemon Journeys: Research Professors

Chapter-3

Ash's POV

                              After walking for a few minutes I knew I wasn't getting anywhere, therefore, I called out Dragonite from his Pokeball. Dragonite gave a cry and tackled me and Pikachu into a hug. "It's good to see you too buddy, we need to get back to Pallet town so can you give us a ride?" 

                            Dragonite nodded and gestured for me and Pikachu to climb on to its back. When we both had got on its back and sitting securely Dragonite gave a cry and lifted off from the ground and into the skies.

                             "Wow, this is amazing!" Ash exclaimed with enjoyment and Pikachu too gave an over enjoyed pika. They were flying at quite a height and they could see the terrain below them passing below them. To their right, they could see the ocean stretching into the horizon. The people and Pokemon down below looked quite small. Seeing this the memory of flying on Lugia's back with Goh was brought into his mind and he smiled. 

Pikachu's POV

                             Pikachu looked at his trainer smiling and grinned too. He had travelled with him for so long and never in his life had he been upset about travelling with him. Not even once. He had Pikachu's back and Pikachu had his. They would always be together until the end.

                             Ash and I closed our eyes and relished the cool wind hitting our faces. His smile switched into his signature grin. "WOOHOO!" He screamed at the top of his voice in delight. I sweatdropped thinking that even though travelling for so long he still acted like a kid most of the time. Something which Iris a friend of mine and Ash's from Unova had constantly reminded him.

                              "This is the best! Right, buddy?" to which I gave a pika confirming that it was indeed. After a while, the landscape below was getting quite familiar. We were reaching the outskirts of Pallet. "Okay buddy put us down right there," Ash said pointing to the front of a house which I recognised as our home. Dragonite landed gracefully in front of the house. Ash slipped down with me on his shoulder. "Thank you Dragonite, now take a break," Ash said returning him to his Pokeball. He then turned around and proceeded to enter our home while saying "Mom we're home".

  Normal POV

                                              As soon as Ash and Pikachu entered Ash was tackled into a hug by his mother. Pikachu had jumped off his trainer and was now snickering at the sight before him."MOM.....Can't..... Breath" Ash said breaking off from his mother's embrace. Delia turned around with open arms as Pikachu jumped into it.

                                         "Oh Ash, it's so good to see you again," Delia said while scratching Pikachu's ear earning a coo of bliss from Pikachu. "Well I came to see you, mom, because I wanted to tell you something, you see I-" He was stopped by a loud rumble from his stomach. Pikachu and Delia sweatdropped at this.

                                         "You know you're just in time. It's nearly time for lunch, come on in you can say what you want while eating" Delia said. "Thanks, mom you're the best!" Ash said and Pikachu too agreed. 

                                           After a while, the trio was sitting down and eating. As usual, Ash's plate had more food than a normal person could eat and Pikachu was licking away ketchup from the bottle. "So Ash what was it that you wanted to say so urgently that you had to come here to tell me?" "Well you see mom today the professor asked us about moving to Kalos for a few months" "Kalos? Really? For what purpose?" Delia asked wide-eyed.
